"You really think we should have let him just . ..  go?" Chase asked Jackie, "I mean . . . I'm not too enthused with the guy like you are but this Infect guys sounds pretty fucking bad."

"I know but if we told him to stay, too, then Infect might have just showed up and killed all of us judging on what Anti said." Jackie sighed, "It's better this way for now"

"Is it?" Henrik wasn't so sure, "And what about Sam?"

Jameson signed, 'We have to just trust Anti that he'll be fine. Anti's looked out for him this far, right?'

Marvin clicked his tongue, "It's all tricky. Oh, if only I had my fucking BOOK"

"We get it, Marv" Jackie sighed, "But Anti's gonna get it. I trust him to do that at least"

"You TRUST him?" Chase snorted, "I mean I get it, I'm all about second chances but I'd prefer to go slow with Anti if you know what I mean. We've trusted him before and look what happened."

"It's all in the past" Jackie shrugged, "For now, let's just focus on what happens next. . . assuming Anti gets the book for us"

Henrik mumbled to himself softly, "You assume a lot"

Anti was suddenly in a panic, his heart racing.

'Fuck, fuck, fuck! What did I just DO!? Now what will happen if Infect finds out!? He'll kill me for sure!'

He shook his head vigorously, 'Why should I give a damn about what he does!? I'll kill him first!'

His head pounded and he could feel tears prickling at his eyes in his frustration, 'But he's faster than even me. Far more strong-willed. The need to kill is far beyond mine now. He's a fucking god of destruction compared to me now as I am'

Anti came up to his apartment door finally shaking.

'Calm down . . . calm down. You can't face him like this. Just . . . calm yourself, dammit. You're not a child'

Taking a few deep breathes, his blood pressure eased down and he stopped shaking.

Not even waiting, he forced his door open with a snarl on his face ready to talk back to his new rival.

Only . . ..

Anti looked around but it felt eerily quiet.

'Where the fuck is he?'

By now his nerves were a lot calmer but something else was bother him. If Infect DID follow him then why wasn't he there now to supposedly ACT like he hadn't been following him?

'Unless he doesn't give a shit if I know he was following me. Fuck, what if he heard everything, too, though?!'

The silence was unnerving him.

"S. . . .  Sam? Sam come on out! Where are ya?!"

Anti swallowed as silence echoed back to him, 'I swear to fucking god if he hu-'

A tiny hiss grabbed his attention and Anti went towards the sound, previous thought forgotten.

"Sam?"

Another little hiss. It came from  . . . .the fridge?

Anti went over to the fridge and opened it, revealing Sam on a shelf shivering and hissing weakly.
