A year and a month ago...

I roll over my bed and stare at my bedroom ceiling. I frown when the first image that pops into my head is my annoying study buddy. I shake my head to clear my mind.

It didn't work, though. He's still on my mind.

I sit up and rub my face with both hands. What the hell is going on with me? Seriously? After spilling coffee jelly on me last night, I should be turned off na by him. I shouldn't get any ideas din just because he walked me home.

Ugh. L, you're overthinking again. It's unhealthy. Get over it. Get over him.

I hear my phone pin. I crawl over my bed and reach for it on my bedside table. I open it and read a text from an unregistered number.

I frown. Who could this be? I delete the text. If it's important, the sender will call or text again. I slump back on the bed then check my social media accounts.

I chuckle at my friends' Facebook posts. After checking my notifications and ignoring the overflowing messages on my inbox, I go to Instagram naman. I was just about to check my notifications when a text appears. It's from the unregistered number again.

I drop my phone straight on my face. Ugh! That hurt!

I sit up and read the text again. How did he get my number?

I program his name on my phone before I reply.

I jump out of bed and make my way to the bathroom. It's already nine AM. I need to get up and prepare for my afternoon classes. I sigh in relief when I realize that I won't be having any classes with Kade today.

My phone pings again.
