Ultear

After resting for a whole month Lucy was more than ready to go on jobs again, however her magic deficiency syndrome was getting worse. Now that Mirajane and Lucy both knew about their pasts they moved in together in Fairy Hills, claiming it to be a temporary measure until the pair both recovered from the shock of Lisanna. Mirajane often took care of Lucy when her sickness made her too exhausted to leave her bed, or when she was so weak after coming back from the guild hall. But now she was determined to go to the magic council, packing a small bag she set off for the train station. 

Buying a ticket to Era she summoned Plue for company, he was much more affectionate than he had been before in her past life, however he would now appear without Lucy having to summon him knowing that she needed comfort. Watching the scenery fly past her windows she sighed happily, she hoped with all her heart that Ultear would know who she was. And in turn open her second origin, if she was going to live a healthy life then she needed her second origin open and soon. 

"State your business here." A magic council guard asked her.

"I'm here to see Ultear." Lucy replied with a nod. "Could you please direct me to her office?"

"Very well." The guard replied giving her the directions.

Quickly making her way there Lucy knocked on the office door, hearing movement from within she held her breath as Ultear opened the door. She was much younger than Lucy had ever seen her before, but she smiled softly as she looked at Lucy.

"Come on in." She spoke kindly.

Following her inside her office Lucy saw it was a relaxed and comfortable environment, with plush furniture and books filling the walls.

"I guess you know why I'm here?" Lucy asked sitting down.

"Yes I do, and it's good to see you again Lucy." Ultear said sitting down opposite the blonde.

"I go by Luce now, my family are still alive and I want to hide my self from them." Lucy explained. "My mother was the one who opened the Eclipse Gate letting the dragon slayers come through, since she didn't have all the keys it ended up killing her. I wanted to protect her so I opened the gate and then left home, my parents still think I'm missing."

"I see." Ultear replied thinking hard. "Can I ask why you decided to hide your self from them?"

"I guess I just didn't want them to worry about me, I'm not the daughter they knew. I've been through so much, lost so much, and now I'm trying hard to fix everything. I've even lied to the guild saying that I lost my memories from before I got there." Lucy said with a sigh. "Part of me wishes I could see them sometimes though."

"Why don't you meet them?" Ultear said.

"I guess part of me is just scared, I've denied that I know them." Lucy said with a final sigh. "I need to protect everyone I love, not just my family."

"Very well, now I guess you want me to open your second origin?" Ultear asked summoning her green ball.

"Please, I'm currently suffering with magic deficiency syndrome." Lucy explained. "I need to be at my strongest if I'm going to try and change the future we saw."

"I've already started that." Ultear said with a smile. "I did brainwash Jellal, that needed to happen. However once he's finished with the tower of heaven then he'll loose all his memories of what he did. All he'll remember is saving Erza, nothing about the tower."

"Great, I was thinking of trying to destroy the tower before Erza has to go back there." Lucy suggested. "Think that would work?"

"Possibly, we're unable to truly know what will happen in the future. However we can change what has happened in the past. Now you know it'll hurt opening your second origin right?" Ultear checked before silencing the room.

"It did last time, I'm just looking forward to the relief." Lucy said before lying down on the ground.

"Here we go."

Pain burned through Lucy's body as her second origin was forced open, it was actually not as painful as Lucy remembered. However it still filled her body with burning pain, it soon ended and Lucy took a deep intake of breath, relief flooded through her body as her magic power filled back up to it's full capacity. Of course she would take her time getting as strong as she was before, but now she didn't feel the weakness in her limbs, the fever setting in as she used her magic, even her body felt lighter. Sitting up Ultear helped her to stand before passing her a glass of cold water, drinking it down in three deep gulps Lucy relaxed on the chair.

"How was it?" Ultear asked.

"Not as bad as I remembered." Lucy said happily.

"Well your body was waiting for your second origin to open, you had the power to do it but now I've opened and slightly enlarged it. Should help you get back to where you were before." Ultear said with a smile. "So, tell me what you've been up to since coming back."

So Lucy explained everything that had happened during her life this time around, from opening the eclipse gate to protect her mother to visiting Tenrou Island to train and speak with the First Master Mavis.

"Ultear, I was wondering. Is there anyone else who knows about the past? I know Mirajane from the guild does, and you of course. But I was wondering if there was anyone else." Lucy enquired.

"Possibly, I mean the spell I used transported every living person at the time back into the past. However we don't know exactly who was alive and who had died, even if they were on the brink of death the spell should have saved them."

"So there might be others." Lucy checked with a smile.

"There might be, now unfortunately it's getting late and I need to finish my work for the day. I'm working on adopting Meredy since she didn't have parents when her friends were killed, I don't want her to get mixed up with Grimoire Heart. Last time it was my fault." Ultear said sadly.

"Are you old enough to adopt her?" Lucy asked surprised. "You look not much older than me."

"I use time magic Lucy, I keep my self looking young. I'm actually almost eighteen years old." Ultear replied with a chuckle.

Hugging her friend goodbye Lucy left Era feeling more relaxed than she had in a while, as she walked along she began to think of the next big event in her timeline. The next big thing she knew about was her officially joining the guild, however that had already happened. So the next big event was when Phantom Lord kidnapped her, which then lead to Gajeel and Juvia joining the guild. However she still had around three years until that happened, so until then she was going to train to become stronger. But there was a single thought that occurred to her, if she was now Luce Heart and there was no Lucy Heartfilia, who would get kidnapped?
