Lucy watched the horizon as the Island came into view, Tenrou Island. Feeling her hear beat inside her chest she rested a hand on her keys and selected the Lion key.
"Open, Gate of the Lion! Loke!" She cried as he appeared before her.
"There already?" He asked.
"Yep, and I saw her. Master Mavis I mean, and there's the island. But how do I get there, the boat won't be able to get close because of the spell over the island." Lucy said looking at Loke.
"You're still able to use your star dress forms right? Even though they feel a little unstable?" Loke questioned.
"That's right, you're suggesting I use my Aquarius form?" Lucy replied.
"It should work. We're pretty close anyway, I can take your bags and meet you there." Loke said to her.
"Sounds good to me, I'll go explain to the others." Lucy said and then made her way towards the Heartfilia's. "Sorry to bother you, but this is where I get off."
Layla looked at Lucy confused, there was no port and they were no even close to the island.
"So soon? But how will you reach the island?" Jude asked voicing his wife's concerns.
Lucy smiled and then ran to the edge of the boat, climbing onto the side she smiled back and then dove into the water. Holding her Aquarius key tightly Lucy felt the outfit swirl around her, as she resurfaced she climbed onto the surface of the water and looked back up at the Heartfilia's who were looking over the side of the boat confused.
"Thanks for the ride! If we meet again I'll pay you back for the trouble I caused!" Lucy called as she began to glide over the water.
Once close enough to the Island, Lucy jumped onto the soft sand and with an exhausted sigh sat down watching the boat drift away. Lying back Lucy felt her outfit change back to normal as she coughed, it was safe to say she was exhausted now. But her magic was definitely stronger than it had been in the past, so she was thankful for that. Loke made his way over to her and sat down next to her, he could tell she was exhausted but didn't want to leave before asking her what she planned to do.
"Feel your magic coming back?" Loke asked her.
"Yeah, a little. This island must help with getting your magic back, it felt like this when everything went down here in the past." Lucy said sitting up with a stretch.
"You going to be ok alone?" Loke asked.
"With you all I'm never alone, besides I feel like I'll see Mavis soon anyway." Lucy said with a smile as Loke vanished, leaving her alone with her bag.
Picking up the bag Lucy began to make her way through the island, Natsu had told her about the village that he and Happy had discovered while training for a year. So that was Lucy's first priority, then she would look for Master Mavis. As Lucy tracked through the dense forests that dotted the Island, she couldn't help but wonder what Master Mavis would say. What if she had no memory of the past?
It always made Lucy sad to think that there was no one who could help her to change the future, she had made so many new memories with the guild, that it broke her heart to think that all of those memories would be in vain. That the future she had worked so hard for would vanish because she wasn't good enough. Wiping small tears from her eyes she finally made it to the town, it was in complete ruin but there were some buildings that were still standing. Making her way over to a small barn Lucy put her bag down and took a deep breath, she then noticed marks written on the pillars. Moving over to them Lucy ran her hand over them, reading the marks written there.
"I wrote those when I was about seven years old." A voice said.
Snapping her head around Lucy saw it was Master Mavis, tears filled her eyes as she looked at her. Apart from her self, Master Mavis was the one one who was left alive due to her curse. And seeing what had happened to the guild she had built, made her wish she was dead.
"It's good to see you again Lucy." Master Mavis spoke softly with a smile on her face.
"You remember me?" Lucy said with the tears falling freely down her cheeks.
"Of course I do, and you'll find on your journey that there are others who remember you too." Mavis said walking over to sit next to Lucy. "I'm sorry you've been alone for so long."
Lucy wiped her cheeks as she spoke with Master Mavis, it felt good to be with someone who knew about her past. Who called her by her true name, her spirts did when they were alone however if she was on a job they called her Luce. The pair laughed and cried as they relived those memories, but once they had spoken about everything they wanted to Lucy asked a question.
"Can you tell me who else knows about me?" Lucy asked.
"I'm not entirely sure, but I have a rough idea. I do know however that Ultear knows who you are, maybe she knows something about it? I'm sorry I can't be more helpful, I really want to help you." Mavis said sadly.
"Do you know any way that I can protect the future?" Lucy asked.
"Try preventing things before they happen, or put your self there to help as best you can." Mavis suggested.
"Thank you Master Mavis, I have a question. When I leave the island, will I still be able to see you?" Lucy questioned as she made a bed of straw for her self.
"I don't think so, I'm still confused as to how you could see me anyway. Maybe its due to the time travel, but other than that I'm not sure." Mavis replied.
With a nod Lucy continued to make a bed for her self from the straw, and then she and Mavis went to a secluded spot for some training. Sitting on the grass Lucy crossed her legs and began to focus, closing her eyes she focused on pulling more magic into her body. As she was focusing however she remembered something, feeling a pull on her magic as Loke appeared. Opening her eyes she focused on him.
"Loke, I think I know why my magic feels different." Lucy said wiping sweat from her brow.
"Let's hear it then." Loke said sitting down on a fallen tree.
"I'm different, because my second origin isn't open." Lucy said. "I was so used to having much more magic power in my body that now I'm...."
Then it hit her, she was in the beginning stages of magic deficiency syndrome. Everything she had done so far with her magic she had done thinking her magic levels were the same, however due to her coming back in time her magic levels had gone back to what they were when she was young. She was starting all over again, and now battling magic deficiency syndrome.
"We're trying to find a way to fix it." Loke said, already knowing the answer. "We're looking for a way to re open your second origin."
Lucy nodded her head with a sigh, her body had felt weak ever since she opened the eclipse gate. And now she knew why.
