The next day Lucy packed a small bag, she knew that the town where Mavis was born was still on the Island, so there would be somewhere she could stay near by. However Lucy wasn't sure if she needed permission to actually go to the island, so with her bag slung over her shoulder Lucy made her way to the guild hall. She still had plenty of time before she needed to take action with Lisanna, but there were times when she wondered if there was more she could do to affect the other things that happened, like Wendy in Cait Shelter, the Tower of Heaven, even the Eclipse gate during the Grand Magic Games. There were so many things that Lucy wanted to change, so many people she wanted to save. Especially Ultear who had given her this opportunity to change the past, with a sigh Lucy made her way into the guild hall up to Master Makarov's office. Knocking the door Lucy walked in to see Master Makarov sitting at his desk with a mountain of papers, most of them were probably for property damage.
"Master Makarov, Can I ask you something?" Lucy asked as he beckoned her further into the office.
"Of course Luce, what can I do for you?" He asked looking up at her.
"I was wondering if I could go to Tenrou Island, I want to do some training and thought it would be the best place for it." Lucy said sitting down.
"Our sacred Island, how did you find out about it? I don't recall you being on a team for the S-Class trials." He said putting down his pen.
"I read about it in a book, while in the guild library I found a book on the guilds history. It said the island was precious to our guild and I've never seen it, so I was hoping to go and check it out." Lucy said with a hopeful tone in her voice.
"Very well then, will anyone be going with you?" He asked.
"Nope, just me." Lucy said as Master Makarov wrote her a note.
"Keep this with you, in case anyone wondered what your doing on the island." Master Makarov said passing her the slip of paper.
After taking the note and saying good bye Lucy made her way back down into the guild, Mirajane was currently trying to pick a fight with Erza, Natsu and Grey were about to break out into a fight, Cana was reading her cards and Levy had her nose in a book. Walking over to Natsu and Grey, Lucy pulled them apart putting her bag on the table.
"Listen Natsu, I won't be able to go on a job with you for a while." Lucy said putting the note in her bag.
"How come Lu?" Natsu questioned.
"I'm going on a solo job, plus I'm going to do some training while I'm gone." Lucy replied as Happy flew onto her shoulder wrapping his paws around her neck.
"I wanna come!" Natsu cried.
"Sorry Natsu, this one's just for me." She said with a giggle. "I need to head off pretty soon anyway, especially if I want to get there before dark."
"How long will you be gone?" Grey asked.
"Not sure, my guess is about three weeks or more. Once I know I'll send a letter back." She said giving Happy's head a scratch.
"Can I come?" Happy asked.
"Not this time, besides we can't leave Natsu alone. I want the guild to still be here when I come back." Lucy said as Happy laughed, and even Grey chuckled.
After saying her good bye's to her friends, Lucy made her way to Hargeon. Looking at the small town made Lucy smile happily, this was the place she had first met Natsu. Even now during this timeline Lucy had fond memories in Hargeon, her and Natsu had taken a couple of jobs in the area and each time they had finished, the pair would eat together in Hargeon because Happy loved their fish. After looking around for a boat that was going towards the island, Lucy finally found a large luxurious boat that could take her there. Climbing on board Lucy instantly regretted it, standing on the ship where her parents and younger brother. Layla Heartfilia looked over at Lucy with shocked eyes, but then composed her self and walked over with a smile.
"Hello there, can I help you?" She asked Lucy.
"Yeah, the captain said that I could jump on. You're going past an Island that I plan on visiting, so he said he would drop me off on the way." Lucy said a faint blush on her cheeks.
"Oh very well, I never asked your name before." Layla said offering Lucy a hand. "My name is Layla Heartfilia."
"I'm Luce Heart, it's a pleasure to meet you Mrs Heartfilia." Lucy said as she pulled her bag off her shoulder, it was then however Layla noticed the set of zodiac keys on Lucy's hip.
"You're a celestial wizard?" She asked offering Lucy somewhere to sit.
"Um yes, I've had most of the keys since I was small. But the rest I've bought at different shops, through my time doing jobs." Lucy said knowing she might be in trouble.
"What keys do you have?" She asked almost urgently.
"I have ten out of the twelve zodiac keys, and six silver ones." Lucy said preparing for the questions.
"Do you have Aquarius?" Layla asked softly.
With a nod Lucy pulled her ring of keys from her hip, setting them out on the table Layla's fingers reached out to touch them, but then the boat set off so she pulled her hand back and went to talk with her husband and son. Once she was far away Lucy took a deep sigh of relief, picking up her keys Lucy put them back where they belong. Then standing up Lucy leaned on the edge of the boat looking out on the horizon, watching as the waves lapped against each other Lucy pulled out one of her keys.
"Open, gate of Canis Minor! Nikora!" Lucy cried as Plue appeared at her feet.
"Pun Pun!" He said as Lucy picked him up.
"Hey Plue, so what do you think it'll be like on the island?" Lucy questioned.
"Punn?" Plue said as he looked behind her.
Turning around Lucy saw her brother Luca watching her in awe, he then walked over and looked at Plue.
"What's that?" He asked.
"It's one of my Celestial Spirits, his name is Plue." Lucy said as she looked at Luca.
He was about ten years old and was almost a double of their father, however his features were a lot softer which he had clearly inherited from their mother.
"Mom and Dad don't really like me doing magic, but I've always wanted to learn." He said looking up at Lucy. "How old were you when you learned?"
"Well my memory starts from when I was six, and I knew how to use my keys then. So I guess from when I was six years old." Lucy said.
Luca smiled at her and then made his way over to his father, who was speaking to him about the possibilities of business overseas. Lucy however continued to stare at the horizon when she noticed something, standing on the water was a young girl with flowing light blonde hair and a pink dress.
"Master Mavis..."
