I woke up feeling refreshed and excited. I was alone once again, this time I was shocked because it was 6:15 in the morning. His side of the bed was still made and entirely untouched so I guess he never came to bed. I didn't know what time the fight was scheduled for so I decided to get ready now.

I showered, not washing my hair this time, it would dry out if I washed it too often. I used my favorite soap, I'd made it myself and it was citrus and vanilla and smelled edible.

When I was finished the entire bathroom smelled like my soap and it was steamed up.

I dried off, platted my hair and then put on a mixture of coconut oil and shea butter. This was my daily routine. I got dressed in black workout leggings that doubled as armor. My seamstress back home made them specially for me. My mom hates regular armor, so she had these made, they also came with a gray long sleeve top, the whole thing was designed to be breathable, but still protect me against direct blows and most of the damage from teeth.

I pushed my feet into my shoes before walking out the door.

I left my mind link open to Ares, but closed to the rest of the pack, so if he needed me, he could tell me. I stretched before starting my run.

Although my wolf was suppressed, I still had a good sense of everything as long as I was in nature. They tended to guide me where I wanted to go.

I ran far enough to come across what looked like a pack house, where a clearing seemed to be filling up directly in front of the house. This clearing was not natural and I could feel the forest's lost at what had clearly been cut down trees.

The pack house looked like a large three building apartment complex right smack dab in the middle of the forest.

  "Where are you?"

"I think I'm at the pack house."

I spotted him before he could reply, he looked over the large crowd, staring down at them with the ever present scowl on his face. He looked around for a second before he saw me at the end of the clearing, just where the trees stopped.

He nodded his head to me and the crowd parted, showing me that there was a large circle between them. Clearly a makeshift fighting ring. Walking through his pack, I could feel them staring down at me. I didn't let it bother me, I kept my head held  high and walked until I stood by Ares, but just slightly behind him.

"Back up." I thought he was talking to me, so I moved to step away, but I noticed to crowd separated a bit more clearing the inside so I stayed in my place. He walked away and stood at the edge next to Jett and a worried Maya. I smiled at her and she scowled back. Reinforcing the thoughts I had last night. I'd have no friends here either. He nodded to someone behind me so I turned back around and watched the crowd part for the tallest female I'd ever seen in my life. "State your name and rank, fight on my mark." I nodded.

"Aria, future Luna." The girl frowned at me rolling her eyes.

"Justine, lady gamma of this pack." I heard the cheers as she spoke her name. I had full intentions of shutting them up. She was only a couple of inches shorter than Ares, her arms looked like my thighs and I'm proud of my thighs. She had black hair, braided into corn rolls. Her skin was dark and she was gorgeous. She had on the thick, black armor that everyone was wearing when I was shipped off with Ares.

"Separate." I stepped back and she did the same. "Fight." I didn't move, as she ran at me, clearly deeming me an easy target. I sidestepped her at the last minute, using her own momentum against her, I kicked her in the back making her fall on her face. The crowd was silent now. Watching in shock as their lead female warrior spit out dirt. I walked around her, waiting on her to get up. I could feel my excitement rising as my adrenaline began to pump. The light in me hated fighting and violence, but the small bit of wolf left in me thrives on it.
