Jeongin's POV
I ran into the dance studio from the third flow. "I'm here!!" I catch my breath putting my backpack away with my belongings on the floor . He softly chuckles, "You are on time, don't worry". He sets the speaker's on and picks his phone up. "Let's warm up real quick before rehearsing" "We can rehears for 20 minutes before the audition" Hyunjae smiles and puts some random song while we stretch. I was next to him stretching my arms. "You don't seem too nervous" I chuckled and continued. He looks at me through the mirror. "I feel pretty confident" "I mean, I have a great dancer as my partner so why worry?" He raises up his eyebrows in a funny way.
I shook my head. "Pffttt, please, we know you are a better dancer than me" I rolled my eyes playfully. "Ok, now let's get into this" I said as we finished warming up.
We got in our positions and Hyunjae played the song. Everything was going smoothly. I no longer find this choreography difficult to handle since I had practice a reasonable amount of time, plus, I feel more comfortable dancing with Jae since we have become pretty good friends.
*20 minutes later*
We sat on the floor, drinking water. "We did pretty good!" I was beaming happily. He nods and gets up, helping me on the way. We grabbed our thinks and exited the dance studio. "After we finish the audition, no matter the outcome, let's get some treats for our hard work!" He closes the tap of the bottle while we walk down the stairs. "Mm, sure" I smiled.
When Hyunjae was about to talk again, my phone dings. I took my phone out of my pocket and saw that I had a new message.

Good luck on your audition
By the end of your audition I will be waiting for you at the garden of the campus!

I put my phone back in my pocket. "Jae Jae, I'm sorry but I cant go with you today..." "We can go another day!" "I will make it up to you" I smiled apologetically. I could see that his smile drops a little but he nodded and looked another way. "It's fine, don't worry!" "Maybe next time" he chuckles. "Oh, we are here..." I looked inside the theater and saw our theater professor and two more professors that I don't know who they are.
"Ok, good morning students" Our professor stood up, going up to the stage. "We will be starting in a few minutes" "In the meantime, go backstage and get ready" she smiled and went down, sitting in front of the stage.
Me and JaeJae went backstage leaving our things in a corner, later meeting with the other dance couple. "How are you guys feeling?" Choi Hangyeol asked us while his other partner was y tying up his shoes. "I'm nervous.." I chuckled a bit. "Don't worry, you guys will do great!" Lee Jihoon smiled. "Choi Hangyeol and Lee Jihoon, time to shine!" Our professor said enthusiastic. "Good luck guys!!" We said to them and they made their way to the spotlight after saying thank you.
*Choi Hangyeol, Lee Jihoon finished dancing*
I clapped, amazed by their talent. They made their way backstage, meeting us. "You guys were amazing!!!" I smiled. "Thank you, Jeongin" they smiled catching their breath. "Yang Jeongin and Lee Jaehyun, your next!" they called us. "Good luck!" Lee Jihoon beamed happily. "Thanks" I smiled and we made our way to the center of the stage.
I couldn't take my eyes off from the floor and couldn't stop my slightly shaking hands. "Hey..we will do great!" Jae whispered and I nodded, still insecure. "You can do it, bestie!!" I suddenly hear a very familiar voice. When I looked at the front, I see Felix seating there, giving me his pretty and comforting smile. "Silence, please" another professor said and Felix apologized and gave me thumbs up. I smiled and got ready to perform.
*skip to the end of the dance*
We hold on our ending position for a few seconds, later to hear several claps and our professor saying "bravo" like always. We bowed as a thank you and went backstage catching our breaths. "Are you guys going out together?" Hangyeol asked making me choke on water since I was drinking some. "N-no" I coughed. "We are friends!" I said quickly while laughing. "Y-yeah, we are friends" Jae laughed a little and I shrugged it off.
"Innie!!!" Felix came running to me and started jumping and squealing. "You were amazing!" "When you become famous, don't forget about me!" He said with a sassy tone. I rolled my eyes and laughed. "We NEED to talk later, every little detail!" He whispered in my ear and winked before going back to his seat. "Alright boys, please come to the stage" a professor said and we all obeyed. "First, we will like to congratulate you all for your amazing performance and work you have done so far" they all clapped.
"We have come to a decision, and let me say that it was really difficult since both groups were really good" our professor stated, settling into the chair. "The group who will get to be the main couple of the show will be....." she made a pause. Let me say that I was really anxious. As the professor said, it was a toughest decision since we all did super good. "Lee Jaehyun and Yang Jeongin!" "Congrats!" She announced and I clapped. "We did it!" Hyunjae slightly jumped. "Yeah, they-" "Wait what-" "WE DID IT?!" I was shocked, I didn't think we were going to make it...
Me and Hyunjae jumped like little kids and hugged. "You guys did super great!" The other group congratulated us. We said thank you. "We were amazed by the chemistry you guys portrayed in your performance besides your amazing talent" she said making the other professor agree. We bowed as a thank you. "Well, see you next week for the show rehearsals!" She dismissed us.
I ran towards Felix and we were squealing like little kids. "I knew you could do it!" "Remember me when you get rich!" I fake cried. "It's just an university show, relax" I chuckled. I looked at the entrance and gasped. "Can you take my things back to our dorm!" "Jinnie is waiting for me outside, bye!" "See you later Jaejae!!" I went outside, excited to tell Jinnie that I got the play.
