'Haikyo' meaning 'ruins' in Japanese
'Arigatō' meaning 'thank you' or 'thanks' in Japanese

_______

Let me begin, this is how it all started...

I slowly awoke, looking out the window and seeing that It was just another one of those beautiful early summer mornings in Tokyo. At the time, yao was staying with me at my place and I offered if he wanted to see a haikyo with me, which of course he agreed to. I looked over at yao, who was laying next to me and smiled, looking over his shoulder to check the time.

"6:30..." I mumble to myself as I remember that yao wanted to go really early to see the haikyo. I sat up, and poked his shoulder "come on yao, it's time to get up."

"ngh..." He yawned, sitting up and rubbing his eyes "Alright, aru"

"do you remember where we're going today, yao-San?"

"uh..."

There was a few minutes of silence as yao sat there, thinking of what we agreed on the day before. I couldn't help but let out a small chuckle, poking his his cheek.

"don't you remember?" I said, still poking his cheek.

-"oh!" He smiled "I remember now, Aru." he giggled at the pokes, moving my hand away "the haikyo, right?"

"hai" I nodded, stretching and slowly getting out of bed.

"I can't wait to see it, aru" he smiled, getting out of bed with me

I nodded again, smiling back and walking out the room. As I walked downstairs I thought to myself of how well this day will go, and of course... my mind thinks of negative things. I stood by the bottom of the stairs, hitting my head slightly and scolding myself about what I just thought about, I didn't even notice yao walking down the stairs behind me.

-"what's wrong, aru? Something stuck in your ear?" He joked, laughing.
-"Erm..." I thought for a second, He'd clearly seen me hit my head, so I just spurt it out "just bad thoughts" I reply.
-"ah... I see, aru" he kissed my cheek, smiling and walking into the kitchen.

I sighed in relief, smiling and kneeling down by a table as I waited for him. A few minutes later, he walked out, holding a tray and kneeling by the table in front of me. I stared at him as he put the tray on the table.

-"breakfast" he smiled, resting his elbows against the table.
-"Arigatō" I looked down at the food, eating a bit of it and smiling.
-"is it good, aru?" He said, watching me eat and giggling.
-"hai" I nodded.
-"good, it's my cooking as well, aru" he ate with me, smiling more than he did before.
-"Mm" i nodded again, continuing to eat the food.

About a hour passed and we finished our breakfast, satisfied with our full stomachs. I stood up, checking the time again and stretching as Yao took the tray and walked into the kitchen. I smiled, going back upstairs and walking into our bedroom, getting dressed into my normal white uniform. I heard Yao walking up the stairs, giggling as he walked into the bedroom and saw me.

-"what's so funny, aru?" He smiled, grabbing his usual, greenish uniform
-"I don't know" I shrugged, staring at him
-"alright then" he got dressed, stretching afterwards and smiling at me
-"lets go" I said, smiling back as I walked out the room downstairs again. Yao followed

I stood by the front door, grabbing my keys and looking back at Yao as he stood behind me patiently. I smiled, opening the door and walking outside

-"so, whats the name of the haikyo we're seeing, aru?" He asked, walking outside too and closing the door behind him
-"fuchu military air base" I locked the door as he shut it
-"whoa... Can you tell me more about it, aru?" He smiled
-"hai, when we get there" I nodded, patting his shoulder
-"thanks" he giggled at the pats

I started to walk away from the house, Yao tagging along beside me. Fuchu military air base... It's safe , right? What am I thinking? Of course it's safe... Just my stupid gut feelings.

I wish I trusted my feelings...
