Impossible changes (Hetalia)

I was frozen in fear, staring at... Myself? I couldn't tell anymore, terrified of this look-alike. The figure just stared at me, completely lifeless and seemingly soulless. I tried to calm myself as I tried to talk to the look-alike again.

-"w-who... Who are you?" I barely whispered as it stepped a little closer.

It continued to stare, staying silent

"T-tell me..." I started to panic
-"you..." He replied in a broken whisper
-"me...?"
-"yes, you, Kiku Honda"
-"but... How?"
-"why, I'm the mere future of yourself..."

Future of myself? This was the future me? I tried to think straight, holding my head and trying to remain calm

-"so... You're me? The future me?"
-"yes, that is right"
-"I guess the future for me isn't good, huh?
-"no... Very dark... For you and everyone"
-"can you tell me about it?"
-"no, I cannot, unfortunately... You must find out yourself, and you can't change it..."
-"I... Can't? I can! Everything changes!"
-"you can't..."
-"I can! Why can't I change it, then?!"

I waited, about to break down and spew all out my anger. Unfortunately, he didn't reply

-"fine... But I'll still try" I said
-"you can't change the future, Kiku... Not this one anyway" He said, disappearing slowly

The words hit me hard, causing me to widen my eyes. I sighed heavily, walking past him and standing by the metal door that had closed behind me. I pushed and pulled on it, grunting, and finally opening it as the figure disappeared. Yao was still walking around, either looking for me or just exploring.

I walked closer to him, tapping his shoulder and causing him to jolt up as he looked round at me. He hugged me tightly, smiling

-"where were you, aru?" He asked, kissing my cheek.
-"just... Exploring." I smiled a little.
-"I see, Well, that was a very long time, aru."
-"hai... I got kinda lost."
-"that's fine, I'm just happy you're alright!"

I smiled at his words, poking his forehead and pulling away swiftly. The atmosphere seemed different now, I don't know why. Maybe it was that ghostly figure of myself? My thoughts were cut off as the ground started to shake, thinking it was a earthquake -I always think that with the ground shaking, especially because we get earthquakes here in Japan. I saw the figure again. gasping, I fell to my knees along with Yao, due to the shaking. He just stared at us, the ground below us cracking. We both fell down it as the ground gave way, falling what seemed like forever. One question was rattling in my mind as we fell.
