What is an animatronic?
Animatronics and mechanical puppets.
Animatronics are lifelike robots made for entertainment purposes. Animatronics have been made to appeal to younger audiences. For example, there are many animatronics in Disney Land and Disney World. Animatronics have also been used in games to appeal to older audiences with a scarier feel to the robots. Five Nights at Freddy's is a game in which scary animatronics are roaming the building in which the player is in. FNAF is a horror game.
Animatronics look different depending on the targeted audience and theme. Ursula from The Little Mermaid is an animatronic at Disney. She is a villain, yes, so she is "scary" in her own way. The theme is per the movie. As a result the animatronic villain for The Little Mermaid will be Ursula and the animatronic will look that way. Although Ursula may not still be viewable at Disney, she is still the example for this topic.
Size may vary depending on the theme. After some researching, what was discovered was that animatronics can be between 5 feet and 7 feet tall. The size of the animatronic is decided by the creator of the animatronic.
