The United States of America was finally going to be united once more. The years of turmoil and infighting were finally over, though they had a long way to go for recovery and stability. America had a long way to go.

Civil war hurts a CH the most. Having conflicting thoughts all throughout the armed conflict as they struggle to decide who's right or wrong. America felt the same, even in the aftermath.

America was in his office, alone. His face displayed a mixture of confliction and relief. He was fiddling with his fingers. The war was over but his mentality was damaged. His mind was still a warzone of traumatic memories he wishes to remove.

"It's alright your fine" he told himself as he tried to shake off the feelings.

But they wouldn't leave him.

"Dammit" he cursed.

"What's wrong with me?" He looked around as if someone was to answer him.

But he was alone, with no one else but his mind.

"Was it..right to do this? Am I wrong? Is he wrong?"

"What is right and wrong here.." he wondered in despair as he covered his face with his hands.

"I just wanted none of this to happen" he thought as the feeling of sadness and guilt penetrated him.

Suddenly, a knock at the door.

America jumped at the sudden noise. He cleared his throat.

"Ahem, Come in" he called out.

The figure stepped inside, closing the door behind him. He wore a blue uniform and had a few cuts here and there on his face. His face looked surprisingly relaxed even after what unfolded for the last few years

"Ah, Union Army (UA)" America said as he adjusted his posture.

"Sir, nearly all the states have ratified the 13th amendment" he declared. America raised an eyebrow.

"Nearly?" He questioned.

"Mississippi has yet to officially ratify it sir" UA responded.

America was relieved at least most of the states accepted it.

"Also sir, Confederacy will be hanged tomorrow"

America's eyes flinched a bit. In the aftermath, his brain was still conflicted. UA seemed to notice his sudden uncomfortableness.

"Something wrong sir?" He asked politely.

"N-no it's nothing" America stammered as he shook his head. "Just feel.. conflicted"

UA smiled.

"No need to be ashamed, you came out of a civil war. Of course you'll be conflicted." He half laughed.

"Yeah..my sense of right or wrong is all over the place" America chuckled.

"Right now, what matters is, is that we rebuild our foundation. Its nothing to worry or stress about" UA explained.

America smiled to himself. UA was right, he shouldn't really worry about this. Civil war is over and the people have won their cause. Now they need to rebuild stronger then before. He and his people have learned their lesson.

"The execution will be tomorrow?" America asked.

UA nodded.

"I'll be there to accompany my people" he declared.
