The beach was almost empty, the sun was setting and you could hear some seagulls screaming somewhere. Lewis stood by you, fiddling with his camera as you sat on the sand. These moments could have been even romantic with him, but for now you enjoyed his company as it was.

"Can I take a picture of you?" Lewis suddenly asked, and you furrowed your eyebrows at him.

"Why?"

He swallowed, suddenly realizing how that may have sounded when it came so suddenly. "Well, I- I just want to have a picture of my friends on my wall. You're the only one who's missing."

Your frown deepened, as you decided to play around a little. "Um... that still sounds a bit creepy."

Lewis seemed to panic as he started stuttering and waving his hands. "Oh! I don't mean... I don't... I just... uh, I'm not taking a picture of you if you don't-"

You laughed and beckoned him to stop. "Relax, Lewis. I'm only messing with you."

His mouth was still open from all the panicked babbling, and then he muttered "...oh."

You grinned. "You're cute when you try not to blush."

He let out a short laugh and sat by you on the sand. "I'm not blushing." he said, but sighed as you raised your eyebrows at him. "Is it so obvious?"

You bit your lip and turned your gaze back to the sea. "Yeah, it is." you muttered and slung your arm around him, and whispered to his ear, "But don't worry, I like you too."

And with that you left, leaving Lewis sitting on the beach in shock as your blush was quickly gathering up - you could just hope assuming you had gotten all the signs right.
