The result is going to be out today. We all are very tense and the most interesting thing is your parents and relatives are more excited and nervous than you to know your result. My mom went to the temple to give puja to me early in the morning. I came downstairs and saw my dad. He was reading a newspaper. I always avoid him but I guess today there is no chance to avoid him. Because I was getting late. So I have to face him at the same breakfast table. I sat on the chair and started to have my breakfast. He was continuously staring at me. After a long pause, he said finally.

"Today's end semester result is going to be out?"
I just nodded
"Hope this time you won't disappoint us"

"But last time I got good marks", dad

60℅ is good mark? He said

I hope it's good to mark because 71% was the highest I told myself.

If you think like that then how would you improve yourself? Are you satisfied with these 60℅ marks?

I was silent Because I am tired of fighting with him.

Before going to campus, my mom gave me bindi as a symbo of blessing and prasad.

Today everyone's topic is Marks and Grades. Even those who don't like to talk about studies. You can see many types of students in this day the ones who always come and tell you .....

" Lo aagya topper, Tumhe kya tension Mahir tum toh top hi karogi?"

After that, that jealous laugh, in case Or mistakenly if you get the highest marks for once, I guaranteed, you will always hear this line from your batchmates.

The result is finally out and fortunately I have done better than the previous semester. Nope, I didn't top, neither Keshav. This time the girl name, Sahila, got the highest in our department.

In the evening my friends and I went to the cafe to celebrate our results. The two girls Yashvi and Janhvi went shopping so they didn't come. The cafe is newly opened and decorated with high-quality props.

We were just chilling out and bitching about our Batchmates.

What? Yeah, guys we also do... Bitching and gossiping is not the only treasure of women. We also do it when we are with our friends.

Ronak: So Keshav how's your gf now?

Keshav: What? What are you trying to say?

Ronak: Arre kya tha uski naam? Ve.. Ba

"Bela" I said it louder.

Keshav: Kaha yaar! I couldn't see her since that day.

Ronak: Seems like someone is very desperate to meet her.

I don't know if it's a coincidence or not but that same girl whom we were talking about a few minutes ago entered that cafe. I think she didn't notice us. She straightly went inside the kitchen of the cafe and came up wearing a chef apron. We didn't take long to guess by her appearance what she was doing here.

When I closed the menu card I saw she was standing near our table. None of us are comfortable with her sudden chef appearance.

Keshav: So you work here?

She just smiled, like she was not happy of our presence.

"I just saw you from the kitchen. Looks like you guys haven't ordered yet? Would you like to order something?" She said with her uncomfortable fumbled voice.

Next Day beside the collage cafeteria

Janhvi: Oh common guys you guys are too much involved in her. It's okay to do a part time job.

Mahir: Yeah Janhvi but she doesn't look like she is happily do this.

We both are silent for a minute. Looks like she don't want to talk on this topic. Finally she opens bookmyshow and shows me two booked movie ticket. we are going today.

This girl doesn't ask me or anything just do whatever she want. I couldn't help, just say yes!

A loud music was coming from the outside of the canteen. It seems like someone is announcing something.

We both went outside.
Some student from various department was standing on the amphitheater stage and loudly announcing about a concert

A Girl: So are you guys ready for this thrilling concert? To participate it you just have to take this form and submit it by 5 days. Why are you waiting for? We believe our MSU WILL ROCK IT AND BRING THE CROWN FOR US!

Jahnvi took a form and came to show me.

It's a kind of competitions between all fame and established universities in our state. There are many different sections from Dance, Singing, Street Play, Swimming, Basketball even Quiz and Fashion shows all are included in this.

"It's huge yaar, look St. Xaviers, Amity, St. Stephen all are here. " I told her.

"So what, we are gonna win" Keshav told from behind. Others have also come.

" And you are a basketball pro, why are you speaking in a negative way" Ronak said

"Because there will be not just one pro." I just said it with lack of confidence.

"We can do it, okay" Janhvi pats on my shoulder and said.

A boy and that girl who were announcing came towards us.

Boy: hi I'm Vikrant.

Girl: And I'm Annu we are from English Department Final batch. Actually we are incharge of selecting and creating teams of every section.

Janhvi: You just two are going to create all teams?

Yashasvi : You guys are pro in all of these section

Mahir : Arre yaar, yeh log baas incharge hai.

Vikrant: No No! Actually I'm also a trained basket ball player. And Annu is an exceptional classical dancer. We have our team ( He pointed to the other students who were busy to distribute the form) and faculties selected us to choose strong contestant, BTWwho is Mahir here?

My all friend gave one look and they understood it's me.

Vikrant : I hope you are going to join us, in our basketball team.

I just nodded as yes excitedly.

Vikrant : Actually I need you to select perfect players for our basketball team.

"Yeah, Not a problem I would love to make a perfect and strong basketball team for MSU."

" Actually I'm also interested to participate in dance. " Yashvi told to Annu.

Annu: Yes! Please come tomorrow, I will send you a time for audition.

After clearing all doubts of my friends they left.
