Third person POV.                          Sunday, 9th January 2022.

''Withdraw 20,000. The pin is 2222.''
Jasmine's mum stated to the already dressed Chris and Jasmine.

It was eight days after the new year had begun and nothing really special had happened to Jasmine. Well, asides from the fact that she was in good health and all.

Although, she hadn't really cried over him for a week now which made her really proud of herself because she cried at least twice a week in the past. It felt like she was healing gradually.
The process was really, really slow but she could see the changes, even as little as they were. She knew she was doing better than the previous year.

She had made up her mind to live without him and never speak about him to Tokyo again and she was excelling at that.
The next plan was to make things serious with Drey. After all, he was a fine boy who really cared about her so why not give him a chance? Plus, Tokyo wanted him for her too.

Presently, her mum was sending herself and Chris on an errand to the bank and she dashed off into her room like she forgot something. She came back out with a more glossy lips and her cologne took over the whole room. It only meant one thing, she applied her signature perfume.

''We can leave now,'' She stated to a rather patient Chris who was seated on the couch in the living room, typing away in his phone.

They couldn't get a cab as usual, so they decided to take a walk. The bank wasn't too far from where she stayed.
Just a ten minutes walk would do the trick.

She engaged herself in a conversation with Chris as they made their way to the bank, she couldn't avoid him all her life because they were living in the same house.

While they were having conversations about meaningless things, she felt her heart beat at a more accelerated pace.
She just had the feeling that they would come across Dave on the way.
She didn't know how that would happen, but she just felt so.
And her instincts concerning Dave especially, never lied to her.

Maybe Chris would ask them to stop by at his place to say hi, she thought inwardly.
He can't do that, he knows y'all are not on talking terms.
Her subconscious reminded her.

''Heyy, bad guy!'' One of Chris's friend, Jace called out. Bringing Jasmine out of her reverie.

''Big man,'' Chris responded as he beckoned for Jasmine to cross so they could meet with the rather skinny dude.

''Hi.'' She said, as they got to him. Giving him a small smile.

''Wassup,'' Jace replied and she muttered a small ''I'm fine.''
