A/N: Another little short I wrote last year and decided I'd go ahead and share. This MIGHT become something bigger but I have no definitive plans yet. Just wanted to share.

Warning this has some parts that will be sensitive to some readers (vore-ish?)

With a low, vibrating blast, the horn atop the cliff sounded out across the water and down the cliff side. Alania froze, as did the two other girls tied next to her on the sacrificial platform. Only the sea hissed and rolled in its constant thrum whilst the crowd behind the walls fell silent. A second blast from the horn. Alania stared out over the water, eyes darting frantically for any sign of the Abyssal God. The rhythm of the sea continued unabated yet the tension on the air was heavier than the rocks that formed the cliffs.

Just when it felt like no one had taken a breath for an eternity, a glint from far away flashed on the ocean. Alania squinted trying to see what it was. Then it became clear. A massive wave was rolling toward the shore. But not just a chaotic force of wind whipping up a swell; more like an enormous, submerged ship was pushing the water before it. The glistening, huge wave barreled towards the shore at frightening speed. Alania drew back as far as the ropes would allow, not wanting to remain in its devastating path.

Just when it seemed the wave could grow no larger as it bore down on them, it suddenly exploded as the cause of it seemed to birth itself from the watery wall. Alania felt her breath disappear and stop when a form of colossal proportions rose up from the sea, churning the water to a boil with its every move.

The Abyssal God...he was real.

His skin was a pale blue draped over a marble-cut physique that stretched on like a landscape of perfect flesh. From his sides iridescent scales radiated different colors of light as he moved like precious gems had been embedded in his flesh. Though he seemed human in appearance it was evident that he was anything but. As he rose from the water, Alania could make out his face. Very handsome, very god-like; everything the city statues and paintings depicted and more...except for the fact that he was a giant. His perfect mouth framed in a squared jawline that went on for days. A veritable waterfall of almost transparent silvery hair that changed color in the sunlight draped around his wet face. Fin-like protrusions could be seen under his glistening hair where human ears should've been. His eyes were striking; dark blue as the deepest ocean and flecked with silver. And those eyes were focused on the sacrificial platform and what stood atop it. His dark shadow swept across the waters and then engulfed the three women. He strode closer on two scaled legs, well-muscled and thick as the biggest of trees. Finally, he reached the cliffside which came up to his chest.

The women were all frozen in place, unable to believe the enormity of the being that towered above the cliffs and them.

At once his great voice rumbled across the rocks and into the city beyond, "Mortals of Fera-et, have you brought what I requested?"

The priests of the Abyssal God bowed against the ground behind the platform. The Cleric leader stood, eyes down and said loudly, "Yes, oh powerful Abyssal God. We have found three maidens whom you may have described. We sincerely hope they will appease you."

The ocean blue eyes became hard as stone, "Let's hope you have. I need not remind you what will happen should you fail me."

The Cleric shivered with dread, prostrated himself to the ground, and waited quietly.

The titan's eyes scrutinized the maiden offerings a moment until he bent closer and drew in a long whiff of air over the women. They all whimpered, infinitely intimidated by this great being and the helplessness they felt at being presented to him as offerings. He closed his eyes a moment, smelling them carefully until his eyes reopened and focused directly on Alania.
