chapter 5

(3rd person pov)

Y/n didnt get any sleep all night. She trained, and trained all night because she couldnt sleep. This happened very often so she was used to it now. Shes used to everything because she just doesnt care anymore. She has ONE dream, ONE goal, and she'll do anything to accomplish it.

<next day>

It was 4:45am when y/n left her apartment to go to the grounds for the bell test. She was right on time... exactly 5:00am. Sakura and Sasuke both were already there, Sakura of course clinging to sasuke. I went ahead and sat on the topmost branch of a very huge and tall tree.Naruto arrived 15 minutes late but since Kakashi Sensei wasnt there it didnt really matter....After waiting for about 3 whole hours kakashi finally came at about 8:15am. 

"Guess who decided to finally show up" Sasuke teased a little.

"I got lost on the way" Said kakashi

Naruto and Sakura bickered about this for a while until Sasuke told them to shut up. I came down the tree and kakashi started explaining how the test would work.

"I have 3 bells. You need to take the bells from me. One bell per person. If you have the bell, you pass" said he.

"but there are only 3 bells and 4 of us" said naruto

Kakashi smirked and said 'thats the whole point, one of you are going back to the academy'

''HEY THATS NOT FAIR" ranted naruto.

" enough of this, START NOW." said kakashi ignoring naruto.

everyone disappeared. kakashi noticed that they went into hiding and nods to himself. he takes his book out to read. just when he starts reading it, shurikens are thrown at him and baka naruto is going straight at the jonin, without any plan. Kakashi, easily dodges the shurikens and all other attacks naruto threw at him without even lookin up from his book. once naruto was defeated, he shouted"come at me with an intent to kill, or you will never succeed" 

y/n creeps around the bushes and trees with a plan, careful not to be noticed. She senses Sakura near her and goes upto her. She asks her if she wants to work together but before she could reply she screamed, seeing sasuke dead on the ground. Sakura doesnt get that shes been put under a genjustsu and neither does she listen to y/n . y/n gives up and releases herself from the genjutsu and goes over to find sasuke. She worked up the courage to speak to all of them only to be disappointed. Even sasuke didnt want to team up with her cause "he was very well off alone apparently.

y/n still keeps a straight face and shows no emotion, neither distress nor panic. She figured that she'll have to attack and get the bells all by herself so she gets into position. When the right time comes, she leaps out of her hiding place and tries to distract kakashi while her clone tries to take the bells. she had little to no hope it would work against a jonin but she still tried. it didnt work.

She went back into hiding and after a few minutes saw sasuke buried neck deep into the ground, clearly embarrased. Y/n payed no heed to him and ran over to kakashi. She put up a great fight using only taijutsu and managed to touch the bells. this left kakashi astonished.  Y/n finally understood that she'd have to use ninjutsu becase kakashi was pretty strong. She again, went to him and hit him with a fire style jutsu, she soon figured that simple ninjutsus wont work so she decided to not hold back anymore. She hit kakashi with several jutsus at the same time combining water, fire and air. she was finally able to get all three bells. Kakashi was left open-mouthed, under his mask; that is. He soon came back to his senses and called the test OVER.

sasuke, naruto and sakura had their faces down while y/n just stood there expressionless with the bells in her hand.

""You all are such idiots. The test was for the each student to take one of the 3 bells from me within a set time limit in order to pass. Since there are 4 of you and just 3 bells, it would seem that one of you will be sent back to the academy no matter what.  either the 4 of you could work as a team: if you ignore the fact that only three bells are available and be willing to work together, you might have enough skills to take the bells, and be allowed to pass. the true purpose is to test your ability to work as a team. Y/N understood this and asked all of you to help her which if you agreed would result in teamwork, but sakura being dumb and caring only about sasuke, naruto chargin on without assessing the situation and sasuke being overconfident to accept any help. you all fail, except y/n " lectured kakashi clearly disappointed.

Everybody was distraught, y/n still showing no emotion asks kakashi "now what?"

kakashi ties naruto to a pole for cheating and restricts him from eatin anything and lets the others eat their lunches. He warns the others to not dare to feed naruto or all of them would never be allowed to be a ninja. After that, he went away.

Y/n making sure that kakashi was gone, offers naruto her lunch. sakura started scolding her while naruto is thankful but reluctant to eat it. Sasuke gets the reason and urges naruto to eat too. When he finally put food into his mouth, kakashi appears from nowhere and shouts at them

"YOU ALL" 

everyone was startled, sakura on the verge of crying and naruto ranting.

"PASSS" kakshi finished.

great work. remember .. "in the world, those who break the rules are scum, but those who abandon their friends are worse than scum."

i'll see you all tomorrow. be ready for your first mission.
