"Mom." He called out to his mother.

"What do you think dad would do when he finds out that I am missing and you helped me?" He asked.

Sure, his dad had made his life miserable but he still loved him. Even if it was only a little.

"Jayden,"  she called back,  out a sigh while sitting on the bed. "To be honest, I don't care."

"Mom, if I leave...and the company goes bankrupt. What about you?" Worry was written all over his face.

He loved this woman so much and what she was doing now...it only increased his love for her. He had to be worried.

"You don't have to be worried about me honey. Your father's company is going to go bankrupt but, trust me, your father never married me poor or have you forgotten that I run my own business?"

She laughed at her son's worried face. It was nice to actually see some other emotion on his cold face.

He scratched his neck in embarrassment before replying. " I knew that."

"Yea,,you really did." She replied sarcastically and rolled her eyes at him. She tossed him the bag she had been stuffing.

He caught it in record time before wearing it and without bothering to check what was inside.

"Ok, listen Jayden, time for games is over. I want to go over the plan with you so listen." She said sternly while staring at him.

"I put some cash in these two wallets." She said handing him the wallets while he gave her a confused look.

"Why would I need two wallets?" He asked skeptically.

"Did I seriously raise a dummy?" She asked no one in particular. "I gave you two wallets so you could keep one in your bag. You are leaving the country and you don't know what might happen. So, keep one in your pocket and one in the bag. That way, if you get robbed you won't have to suffer."

"And why would I need to suffer? I have my cards with me?" He shrugged.

She hit him in the head. "I really thought you had brains Jayden,,,I really did."

"Ouch, stop with the hitting would you?" He cried.

"I won't stop until that brain of yours functions in the proper way. What do you think? Don't you know that your father could track you using your cards?" She asked quizzically.

"Uhmm, I never thought of that?" He replied innocently.

She put a hand over her face exhaling through her mouth to vent out her frustration. She was trying to help him but here he was being stupid.

"Be serious Jayden. We have less than minutes to execute this plan and once failed, there is nothing we can do about that." She demanded while getting serious

She handed him a new phone which she took out from her pants pocket. "Here, dispose of your old sim and go register a new one and use this phone so your dad won't be able to track you. Take only the contacts you can trust. Do not and I repeat. Do not call anybody while you are still in this country. Not even Mark!" She gave him a Stern look and he nodded.

"Do not go by plane, go by road and move from border to border. Your father would be too dumb to actually look for you up roads. He would only search the planes and trains. Move really far from here and make sure you save my number so I can call you for updates." She asked while he gave out a Curt nod.

Smack!

"Did I ask you to nod? I asked you a question and I expect you to reply yes or no!" she barked.
