1:26 AM

Bright neon lights lit up Danielle's face as she stood atop a rooftop, rain pouring down on her and the city. Across the street was a large skyscraper, the headquarters to a company named Thanatos Co. The company was a known military contractor that made various weapons for the military. They have always been deemed a shady company because of their questionable hardware they make and the ways they go about testing them. Danielle was going to learn what was truly going on behind the doors of Thanatos Co. and maybe even score some valuable files to expose them for who they are. "Alright..." Danielle whispered to herself, spreading her wings. "Let's do this."

Danielle jumped off the building and used her wings to glide down, aiming for a balcony on the Thanatos Co. building. She gently and quietly landed on the balcony and then walked over to a nearby door. It was locked so Danielle pulled out a lock picking tool and quickly began to work with the lock. In no time, Danielle had the lock picked and she opened the door, stepping into the dimly lit building. She begins to sneak around the hallways, passing various offices along the way. She found an elevator and steeped into it, looking at the floors to choose from. Danielle was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of floors to choose from. There were buttons for 142 floors and Danielle couldn't decide which floor to choose.

Her eyes slowly scanned the floors, moving from the top to the bottom when she noticed something strange. She noticed a button for a 143rd floor but it was at the bottom of panel. Curious, she pressed the button but then an automated voice played in the elevator. "Level 5 keycard access required." It said. Danielle was sure that there was something secret on that floor and pulled out a hacking device from her jacket. She hooked it up to the elevator's keycard reader and began hacking away at it. "Access Granted!" The 143rd floor automatically selected itself. The doors closed and the elevator began going... down? "Wait? Down?" Danielle was confused since she thought that because she was going to the 143rd floor, she would go up.

The elevator continued going down, the floors rapidly couniting down. The elevator would reach the first floor but then keep going. The 1 on the floor display changed to a 143 as the elevator slowly came to halt. "Huh... Interesting." The doors opened up and Danielle was greeted by a large lobby. Modern lighting fixtures hung from the ceiling, lighting up the room and reflecting on the black marble flooring. Screens dotted the walls of the lobby, displaying things ranging from messages to directions around this mysterious floor. Danielle walked around the lobby for a while, trying to figure out where she needed to go.

As she surveyed the lobby, she heard a door slide open accompanied by the sound of footsteps. Danielle looked over in the direction of the sound and saw two guards walking into the room. They were talking to each other and stopped once they noticed Danielle in the room. "Hey you can't be here!" One of them said as they both reached for their waists, revealing pistols in their holsters. Danielle charged them and before they could react, one of the guards found themselves on the ground. The other guard pulled out his pistol but Danielle grabbed his hand and punched his face, causing him to let go of his gun. "Argh! You little-!" Danielle pistol whipped the guard and he fell to the ground. The other guard began to get up behind Danielle but she spun around and aimed the pistol at the guard. "Don't..." She said sternly. The guard stopped moving and slowly raised his hands.

Danielle slowly approached the guard and stuck her hand out. "Give me your keycard, now!" She demanded. The guard obliged and slowly reached for his keycard, handing it to Danielle. "Thanks!" She then knocked out the guard and then got to hiding the knocked out guards. After finding a hiding spot, she zip-tied their hands and put tape over their mouths so they wouldn't become a problem later. "Alright... Now to continue on." She said to herself as she made her way to the door the guards came from. She swiped the keycard on the reader and the door unlocked, sliding open and she slipped on in, putting the keycard in her pocket. She was now in a hallway with windows and doors lining the walls.
