"How am I gonna clean this up?" Quinn groans looking at the horrible mess on the floor. Oliver's body was sprawled out on the tile, his head had a huge hole in the middle, brains covered the wall behind him. Quinn had some blood on her hands and instantly fished out a piece of cloth from her pocket to wipe it off. She had almost forgotten the two figures standing near the doorway gazing at the scene in awe.
"Holy fuck..." Her eyes wander to the voice and her expression quickly softens. "What a mess." she sighs looking back at the body. Billy and Stu make their way over to her, one standing on each side. "We only got bits and pieces of uh, that.. could you fill us in?" Billy asked carefully as Quinn cleaned the blood off the gun. She remained silent for a moment.
"I'm a serial killer."
Although her eyes were trained on the corpse in front of her she carefully analyzed Stu and Billy's reactions from her peripheral. Stu's face was slack-jawed and his eyes were as wide as saucers. Billy's mouth was slightly ajar and his stance recoiled. "You're... what?" Billy asked breathlessly. "Have you ever heard of the Broken Hearts Killer?" The silence was deafening.
"Holy shit..." Stu breathes. The two boys give each other a look. "That— that was you...?" Stu had slightly moved into her line of vision trying to look at her expression. She nods. She cleaned the gun looking at the corpse.
"Who the fuck is that?" Billy looks at Stu for answers. "Dude.. It's that serial killer in Paris remember, I told you about it." Billy looks at Quinn with wide eyes. One of the few times Billy listened to Stu's rambling it was actually something interesting, and this was no doubt interesting.
There are two ways this could go.
One, Billy and Stu don't say anything and keep silent about their discovery and everything goes smoothly. Or two, they get greedy and want a piece of that reward money for Quinn's capture. They turn her in and are seen as heroes.
That won't happen of course.
They wouldn't have the heart.
Literally.
"So what are you two going to do with this new information?" Quinn turns around to look at the two boys. Silence. "I sure hope you don't turn me in. I'd hate to have to kill the only two people I don't despise in this shithole." She says monotonously, looking between the two of them. "Aw, you mean it!?" Stu suddenly perks up, giving Quinn puppy dog eyes. "Seriously?" She groans.
"The only thing I wanna know is..." He pauses. "Why the fuck didn't you tell us sooner!?" Billy suddenly yelled. "You really thought I was going to put my life-ending secret in the hands of two teenagers I barely know?" She answered plainly.
"Okay, but that would've been kinda helpful earlier." Billy rolls his eyes. "Are we just not gonna talk about how hot that was though?" Quinn deadpans. "What, it was!?" Stu defends. She massages the bridge of her nose with a sigh. "Man, what I wouldn't give to have been that dude." Stu whispers to himself. "He's dead, Stu."
"Yeah I know, just all that besides the— ya know, getting shot in the head part." "Maybe you will get to experience something to that." Quinn says dismissively, before walking off to the bathroom. "You really mean it!?" Stu shouts. She doesn't reply and continues to the washroom. "Hey, don't leave me out!!" Billy yells making Quinn chuckle lightly. Her smile dissipates and her eyes widen. Her pace halts immediately, and her feet glued themselves to the ground.
Did I just.. laugh?
This is bad.
I didn't realize these boys were having that much of an effect on me. Every time I try to push them away they come crawling back.. What am I doing? Why are they influencing my feelings so drastically? Am I pushing them away for my own preservation, or... Theirs?
"Hey, babe you okay?" A familiar boyish voice pulls Quinn out of her hypnotic state. Strong arms wrap around her along with a new weight on her shoulder. "What's on your mind, angelface?" "What's with that nickname?" She changes the subject. "What it fits you perfectly, I mean look at you!" He turns her around to face him fully. "Don't try to change the subject, Quinn." Billy's all too familiar cold voice speaks. Silence filled the void between them. The tension in the air thickens by the second. Quinn contemplated her word choice for a moment before she spoke.
"What if I kill you?"
"Huh?" Stu obnoxiously voices. "What are you talking about?" Billy moves to close the space between them. "What happens if I try to kill you two? What will you do?" She looks up at the boys in front of her to see both of them with diamond-hard expressions. "Where is this coming from?" Stu asks coldly. "You just saw me kill a man, what if I do the same to you?" Quinn's half-lidded eyes stared into the cold gaze of the two in front of her fighting for dominance.
"You won't."
"Excuse me?" She arches a brow. "You won't, you won't kill us. No matter how much you want to deny it, Quinn, you've grown a soft spot for us." Billy moves dangerously close to Quinn's face. "That's a bit naive don't you think?"
"I don't think it is. It's true, and you know you it." She remains silent. He's right, partially. "You're right, Billy. I have grown a soft spot for you, but you're wrong about one thing." "Huh, what are you talkin' about?" Stu tilts his head. "Just because I don't want to kill you doesn't mean I won't." Quinn gazes at the two boys registering their reaction. It's the same. Confusion. She sighs. "Killing is in my nature, if I see you as a threat I won't hesitate to slice your throat open."
"Quinn—"
"I'm a selfish person Stu, I prioritize myself over anyone." Quinn's face was blank while they were smitten with surprise. They didn't know where this was coming from. Quinn pushes past them making my way into the living room the boys following closely behind. Her slender fingers wrap around the cold metal weapon on the counter examining it. She looks back at Billy and Stu to see them just as wide-eyed as before. "Wipe that dumb look off your faces." Quinn rolled her eyes before grinning.
"We have teenagers to kill." _______________________________
