"Woah he really had a lot of money." The raven-haired girl mumbled to herself counting the money in the stolen wallet as she absentmindedly walks down the side of the street.
She knew the general direction of the house her parents purchased, but unfortunately didn't know how far it was. She had been walking for 30 minutes until she stumbled upon the large home. The house was beautiful, from the outside it looked as though it had 3 stories. The moldy wood and chipping paint didn't help with the already unsettling atmosphere. A small smile graced her lips as she walked to the front entrance seeing the keys already on the doorstep. She picked them up jamming them into the keyhole, and opening the door. The smell of dust and rotting wood immediately stung her nostrils. The house almost resembled that of an ancient library.
The movers had already moved all of their furniture and belongings into the house. She sighed in content glad that she didn't have to set up the house all by herself. She walked into the large living room flopping on the couch and turned on the TV. She landed on a small community news channel and decided to stick with that, interested in seeing what goes on in this small town.
Breaking News!
A devastating crash occurred earlier this evening stealing the lives of three people.
The crash was caused by an intoxicated trucker running a red light and crashing into the car of a family of three. A mother, a father, and a teenage daughter.
The parents were tragically killed along with the truck driver leaving only the daughter alive to mourn the loss of her parents.
Reports say the teen was rushed to the hospital but only minutes after waking up walked out, disappearing-
She was quick to hit the power button and groan into the couch cushions. "This town is too small..." She mumbled to herself staring at the ceiling.
She eventually ripped herself from the couch to head towards the bathroom to shower and get all the old blood off her. She walked in discarding her dirty clothing and turned the nozzle for hot water all the way up. She climbed into the shower relishing in the boiling water singeing her skin, wiping away the memories of the events that transpired earlier that evening.
She climbed out of the shower grabbing the clean towel next to her wrapping it around her slender figure. She makes her way back the living room where all the unpacked boxes sat. After searching through mountains of cardboard she found her belongings and hauled it off to her soon to be bedroom.
After treading painfully slow up the staircase she finally made it to her bedroom and dropped the box to the floor with a loud thud. She opened it and searched for her nightclothes whilst also pulling out stuff she could wear later in the week to school. She found everything she needed and put on a shirt and a pair of loose gray boxers. She dived onto her bed and finally let her body relax entirely for the first time all night.
