Mizumi is currently in the city alone since she had to go buy stuff she needs, especially food. She didn't bother bringing anyone else with her since it's just gonna be a waste of time roaming around instead of actually buying stuff that you need.
Checking her list... Looks like she has everything that she needs. All that's left is a new pair of headphones.
Gojo never returned her old headphones when he borrowed them. Sighing to herself she swore never to let him borrow them again.Walking amidst the crowds, she saw the new student as well... What was his name again? Nanami?
Heh!? Why would I bother remembering another person's name? We're not even friends... YetMaking new friends was difficult for Mizumi since she's used to being alone. And being used to it, she finds being alone peaceful and calming.
It soothes her thoughts about harming someone who's around them. Since she's just a vessel, a human born to carry the curse, made to be carried and to protect others in need.
To slaughter, discard their own feelings.
To Mizumi's understanding, she's nothing more than a puppet of destruction. Bound to these chains of war.Her own choices was never meant for her to be made.
Drowning in her own thoughts she accidentally bumped into someone "Ah- I'm sorry-" before she could finish her own sentence she knew that the person that she bumped into was familiar.
Slowly looking up she saw it was the new guy Nanami "Oh... It's you Nanami, sorry for bumping into you" Mizumi apologized softly and politely.
Looking up at him, she knew he was just staring at him... Is there something wrong with my face? He also stared at me last time, is there a scar? Last I remember don't think there was one
---
Nanami stared at the small figure who just happens to doze off while walking.
It was weird since he never was interested in people that much, but something about her just caught his attention big time.
She carries the aura of something that he cannot tell, but mixed in that aura was her being a mystery, yet also an open book.
He just looked at her... Studying the features of her face.
Long eyelashes, silvery blonde hair that shines under the sun it looks so smooth and soft. White skin that glistens the longer you stare the more her skin glows.
Lastly... Her eyes.
Beautiful yet oh so mysterious, having the shade of the sea when the sun ray hit them. The sight of it reminds you of the ocean.
But there's something hidden behind those eyes. Something that he cannot tell or put his finger on it.
Curiosity was getting on Nanami too much and yet he cannot stop for some unknown reason.
-----
Mizumi caught Nanami staring at her through her peripheral vision but she didn't mind him. She kept walking and minded her own business since she doesn't know what to talk about.
She was about to say something but her phone suddenly rings "Ah- give me a moment Nanami" putting all of her groceries on her right arm, she pulled out her phone with her left hand to see who was calling.
Thinking it was the higher-ups making her go on an abrupt mission but no...
It was none other than Gojo Satoru himself.
Answering the call she can feel Gojo smiling on the other side of the phone "What is it?" She answered "Mizu-chan! Where are you? Are you still in the city shopping? What time will you go back to the school? Are you gonna walk alone?" Mizumi just went quiet as Gojo bombarded her with questions.
Truthfully she doesn't mind him being clingy and talkative around him. Knowing that she knows he's not that close with so many people that much.
"Would you like some souvenir?" She asked not answering all of Gojo's questions "Hicc! Mizu-chan you know just what I like the most! Any sweets will do!" Gojo answered dramatically.
Mizumi sighed and ended the call, texting Gojo she'll be back by 6pm.
Looking behind her she saw that Nanami was still there waiting. That put her in an awkward position that he saw her subtle soft side on a friend "Ah- Nanami... I have to get going I do need to buy desserts for Satoru" she apologized.
Nanami softly bowed and said "It's fine I do need to go back, I don't like being late, I'll see you soon Amane senpai".
Both of them bid farewell and walked in different ways "He was a nice person I should probably get along with him sometimes". She thought since she could tell that Nanami was a nice guy.
Not the most open one though. Atleast she knows someone who can be relatable in school.
Loneliness consumes Mizumi most of the time and the only thing that accompanies that loneliness is Satoru, but he has other friends. Plus he hangs out more with his bestfriend Geto Suguru.
Knowing her being strong the higher-ups sends her away abroad to exorcise curses in different other places everytime she gets home.
Giving her lesser time to rest and have piece of mind.
Having deep thoughts about everything, Mizumi realized she never had an actual friend in the past. Nor she did had one.
She was always alone, she was the only child of the family and her mother was strict about her being close to boys even though she didn't even talked to them.
She never had a friend, because of her mother's rule of not having any contact with male humans.
She was considered a freak by other children.
Even up until now her thoughts linger back in the past...
"A freak huh? I don't care... Why would I?"
After all I'm just a vessel served and used by other people.
