Peter Parker has always been a genius academically and otherwise. Although he would never say so himself people around him knew that

He never scored any thing below 85% even after being Spiderman.
And before having to spend hours becoming a web slinger, anything below 95% was like sun rising in the west.

But since he moved into the Avengers tower and started working with Tony and Bruce, and among all the other chaotic turns his life was taking, his school work somehow went long down in the list of his priorities.

Peter was on a much higher level than any of his classmates, or even schoolmates and after he began to learn from actual scientists he was growing even better, but the problem was, he used to learn about real implementation of quantum manipulations with Tony when his school was still asking him to cram in the definition of atoms.The school used to have tests on things which he barely used to remember.

It was almost like asking a eagle to write the methodical approach to flying.

School had subjective type of exams, which means that he had to write the standard solutions for every question asked in details and with accurate procedural steps in order to gain marks. Peter never had any difficulty finding answers for science and math questions, but remembering and writing the standard procedure for the answer always used to be a issue.

Also subjects like Social studies and languages, ie the subjects which are majorly based on one's ability to cram used to be real pain in ass

He usually used to tell KEREN about his exams, and she used to set reminders so that peter can at least have a last minute revision before exam, but this time he forgot to give KEREN his time-table due to which he realized that he had a test when the question paper was in his hands and it was too late to revise.

Midtown high used to follow a different pattern of exams. They used to have exams for all subjects in a single day.

This was something Peter used to be usually happy about, unlike most kids he didn't had to spend 6 days giving exams, he just had to prepare one day, and within 8 hours his entire exams used to be over.

But this time as he had no preparation, this pattern of examination was feeling like a torture. He himself knew that he isn't doing well in his exams, still there wasn't anything he had in control now, he wasn't able to present his answers properly, even if he had the correct answers, he only did good in math and science but he couldn't remember the theoretical part well, which was unfortunately a major part of his papers.

When he came out of the exam hall after giving his last exam he felt devastated to say the least, He knew that he screwed up and that thought was killing him. He could already remember which questions he messed up and which questions he could have written better, usually these kind of questions used to be hardly 2 or 3 in number but this time he could remember at least 20 to 30 such questions. He sat in the ground of his school thinking about it and he could sense a panic attack coming.

Marks and grades meant a LOT to Peter, they were the only thing he used to have perfect, in his badly messed life. Uncle Ben and Aunt May always used to be very proud of him for his marks, a month after Uncle Ben died, he remembered how Aunt May was so happy and took him out on a dinner because, he, as always, passed with flying grades. He saw the first smile on his aunt's face after a entire month that day, and felt so happy and useful

Now he had his mentor, and he didn't really wanted to disappoint him. He knew that he would not just disappoint him but Dr. Banner, and the entire team if he scored low

This thought itself made his heart rate spike, because he knew that his exams were anything but great. Hence his first impression on Avengers would be…
