Game Time

Its Thursday December 4th, on a winter day. I woke up to the sound of mom knocking at my door, i have a volleyball game today. "Y/n, its 6. please get up and get ready" mom said from outside my door. "okay ill be downstairs in 30 minutes" i said still half asleep. I had a decent sleep, nothing bother me last night. Normally, i'd would have the same nightmare, of the guy dragging me to the tree and making me watch him dig my grave. But lately, after i started watching this guy live stream, they have gone away. I got up and went to take a shower, i played "cant hold us " by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. This song has always been my competition song.

I turned on the water, not paying attention to the temperature. I slipped into the shower and felt the cold water touch my back, i let the water hit my back for a couple seconds and got to showering. I got out and was surprised by my dog sitting on my bed. "hey buddy" i say. Buddy is an Australian Shepherd. I got him a few years ago for my 18th birthday. He just started at me and tilted his head and jumped off. I got was looking for my uniform but couldn't find it, "DAMN IT JAYDEN WHERES MY UNIFORM" i yelled. Jayden is my brother, a year older than me. "what do you mean" he asked from behind the closed door. "dude where is it, i left it on my chair last night" i said. *bark* "buddy hush" i said*BARK*. "what is it buddy" i asked while putting my hands on my hips. He ran to the floor under my desk and there it was. "oh, sorry jay. it fell on the floor. buddy found it" i say after i put on my uniform. I opened the door and there he was laughing. "what are you laughing at you dork?" i asked with a confused look on my face. "You're just so fucking blind" he said while still laughing. "Oh come here you little kid" he said bringing me into a hug. "happy birthday y/n" he said still laughing. oh shit, i completely forgot its my birthday. im turning 20 today. i hugged him back "thank you, i completely forgot, i was so nervous because of the game today" i said with a surprised tone. "you're so old now y/n" he said laughing a lot more now  "oh calm the fuck down you old four eyed man " i said while letting go of the hug and walking into my room to finish getting ready. Jayden has glasses but wear contacts when hes not at home. "you are coming to my game right?" i asked from the bathroom while he went to lay down on my bed and play with buddy. "yeah, i wouldn't miss it for the world but im bringing my friends along cause we are going out later and i wont be able to pick them up after your game" he said. "uh sure but JJ makes me want to slap the shit out of him sometimes" i said . "yeah ill make sure he behaves" he said. 

Jayden's friends are all the sweetest guys ever. I love them all, they have all taken care of me whenever anything happens. Alex, Jayden, and John all play on the basketball team at school. Jason is literally a gym rat. and JJ is just a weirdo sometimes, but hes very caring. Recently Jayden has been hanging out with this new kid at school. i don't know who he is or his name, i just know that he is new and is a dancer.

 I finally got done with my hair and put on a little makeup. Me, jay and buddy went downstairs to the kitchen. Mom had prepared the tastiest breakfast. "good morning baby " mom said coming towards me and giving me a hug. "happy birthday y/n" she said. "thank you mom" i said returning the hug. "good morning to you two too" she said looking at Jayden and buddy over my shoulder. "good morning mom" Jay said putting buddy down, then its eating time, she made potatoes, eggs, and fruit salad from last night. "hey mom where is dad at" i asked while eating a potato piece. "oh hes already at the gym getting everything ready with the other coaches" she said. Oh yeah by bad, hes my volleyball coach. I promise i wasn't forced to do volleyball. I actually enjoy it.

 We all finished eating and we finished getting ready to go. I went upstairs to put some sweatpants over my shorts. We left the house and we sadly had to leave buddy. Mom went in her car. And Jayden said he would take me. But obviously we had to go pick up his friends.  He was driving the bigger car to fit all his friends. We aren't crazy rich but we have a good amount of money for our family. So we have a few cars. "y/n" Jayden said kinda suspiciously. "Jayden?" i asked. "first of all good luck on your game today, and second of all im bringing Chris along with us" he said. "thank you, ill do my best. but who the fuck is Chris?" i asked. "oh yeah you don't know him, hes the new guy at school. the dancer? remember" he said. "well how was i supposed to know dork?" i said while laughing a little. "i forgot okay, but we are going to pick up Alex, John, JJ, and Chris" he said . "wait what about Jason?" i asked kinda curious. "oh hes meeting us at the game" "oh okay well get driving old man, i have a game" i said teasingly. 

We finally arrived at Alex's place, we honked and he came out running with something in his hands. He got in, with a yellow gift bag in his hands. "Hey jay, hey kiddo happy birthday" Alex said. i turned around in the front seat and stared at him like i was hurt and wiped a fake tear from my eye, Alex let out a laugh. "hey" Jayden said laughing "hey old man thank you" i said laughing. "Here you go y/n, dont open it yet" he said while handing me the bag. "oh thank you, whats in here?" i said really curious. "you'll find out later" he said smiling. We played my playlist this time, Pretty much just a bunch of songs that fill me up with adrenaline.

We went to pick up John and JJ at the same time because they live really close by. John had two bigger bags in his hand. And JJ had a wrapped box in his hands. They both ran to the door and opened it. JJ got in first "happy birthday lady" he said while giving me the box. "thank you jj" i said smiling. Then John followed and gave me the two bags, "happy birthday y/n" he said closing the door. "why thank you johnny boy" i said making everyone laugh at the name. "of course" said John. We then played Focus on me by Jus2. Then we arrived at this really big house. Bigger than any of our houses. And Jayden turned down the music and called someone. "hey we're outside, come out quick" Jayden said over the phone. then he hung up. I was looking down at my phone when i heard a door open. I turned to look at who it was. And it was Chris. He had blond hair and he was wearing a very street fashion outfit. Which looked so good on him. i didn't even notice he was handing me a very big bag. "y/n" said John trying not to laugh at me "oh uh thank you so much" i said embarrassed. "your welcome, happy birthday y/n, im Chris by the way" he said smiling as i take the bag. Wow this man has such a pretty smile. "Oh thank you Chris, nice to meet you" i say trying to not look weird with a little smile. I took the bag and put it on the floor of my seat. Jayden looked at me with a smirk. "no drive or we are going to be late Jayden Lee" I said trying to not laugh. We played music and sang and danced all the way till we got the the gymnasium for my game.
