Game Time PT.2

*Play the song when it says too in the book*

The first time I saw Chris was two weeks ago. He looked tall and very fit,  I didn't see him fully because i was listening BCCM8 on twitch. He hasn't shown what he looks like but he sing a lot. His voice is soothing and ever since i started listening to him, my nightmares have stopped.

We got out of the car, and Alex came up to me and gave me a bear hug. And so did John and JJ. I didnt expect Chris to hug me because i had barely met him. But he came up and asked if he could hug me. I said yes because the more the merrier right?

We went to the trunk to get my bag, and Jayden decided to take my bag for me. I didn't deny. We walked in and the guys went to the top and found my mom. I went to see my dad "hey darling, happy birthday" he said to me while hugging me. "thanks dad" i said.

 I headed to the bathroom to take off my sweatpants and then got to practicing. We got there 30 minutes before the other teams got there. So my team and I went to practice. Our team consists of 15 girls. I'm the setter. All of the girls and I are really close friends. Last night they had come over for a pool party before the game today. 

We went to practice sets and spikes. I set the ball for all of the girl. This game we have today is to play against 2 teams meaning 4 rounds maybe 6. The other teams finally got to the gym and started practicing. It was finally time to start playing. "HUDDLE" my dad yelled to us from across the gym. We all ran and got into a circle. "Girls this game determines if we get into nationals or not" said my dad. "SO WE HAVE TO TRY OUR BEST" said Karina the captain. "YEAH" we all yelled. "PANTHERS ON 3" said Karina. "1, 2, 3, PANTHERS" we all said in unison. Now the real game begins"

We go to our positions are Karina goes to do a flip coin to see who starts first. In the distance I can see my mom and Jayden hold something big. A poster. "YOU GOT THIS Y/N" yelled Jayden and mom, joined by Alex, JJ, John and Chris. Then i see another guy walk in and join them. Jason. I wave at Jason and the rest of them. I really though he wasnt going to show up, but he always does. After some time we got to start, we wont the coin toss meaning we are starting. Our tallest player, Reese started off our set. She got it over the net and the team hit it back. "YOU READY" i yelled to Karina. And she start running towards the net, my job here is for her to hit it towards her and land us a point. When i see the ball right on top of me, I set my fingers in place and hit it towards her. She then hits it downwards and got us our first point of the day. "NICE GOING" yelled JJ from the bleachers. 

*time skip* 

*Play song now*

"MATCH POINT FOR NEW HAVEN UNIVERSITY" said the referee. One more point and we win this first game. "YOU GOT THIS GIRL NOW COME ON AND LETS WIN THIS FIRST GAME" said my dad from the side lines. It was our set, this time i was the one hitting it over the net. I stand with my arm straight out, i throw it in the air, run, and hit the ball with the hard part in my palm. Hitting it perfectly over the net, only for the opposing teams libero to stop it. They tried spiking it down on us, but we had Reese stop it and have it come to us instead. "MINE" Jenny, our libero, yelled, she bumped it up into the air and I jumped and spiked it to where no one was at, their captain saw it but she was too late.

 *whistle sound* and we see the score change to 23-25. we had won our first game. Then all i feel is the girls running towards me and hugging me. "YES GO Y/N" yelled Jayden from the bleachers. "AMAZING HIT Y/N" yelled Chris. Wait, Chris was cheering for me?! "THANK YOU" i say looking at them and hugging my teammates. 

We ran to get water from our coaches. "great job you guys, now just one more win and we get into nationals" said my dad in a proud voice. "YEAH" we all yelled. 

*time skip to our last game*

Our last game, this determines if we get to nationals or not. I have got to win this for our team. And then we do the coin flip one more time, and once again i look at my mom and my friends. I can see them all looking anxious, but i also see Chris recording me and the game. So i waved and gave him a big smile, and I could see him smiling at the action. Now its time to focus.

Its the other teams turn this time. Its their captain serving, their captain is know around the world for its set. So we had to be extra cautious in this game. She hits it and it goes staright towards me "MINE" I yell. I bump it and Yelena our other tallest player hits it and spikes it. Getting us our first point. 

*time skip* 

"damn it" i say under my breath. We are 1 point behind, 24-23 and we have to win this game. "NICE SET Y/N" yells my mom from the bleachers. "YOU GOT THIS KIDDO" yelled Alex. I have to get this set. This time i try a different approach, the other team is backing up. I throw the ball up, run, and jump. I bring my back hand to hit the ball, hard enough to get it over but not hard enough to hit it to the other players. The ball goes right over the net and drops right next to the net on their side. *whistle* and the score is now 24-24. The crowd then goes silent. Then they start cheering. The school band is also doing the cheer for us. "GO PANTHERS, GO PANTHERS, GO GO GO PANTHERS" they sang. Two more points and we win. It was my set once again. I threw the ball up into the air, and hit it with all of my power towards the shortest player. Hitting her on the upper arms right up the elbows. And with that we were now at 24-25. "AMAZING SET Y/N" yelled John. One last set, I throw it up in the air, and hit it. Their setter was able to hit it back, Karina got it, and threw it high up. Reese and Yelena started running towards it. The other team not knowing who was going to hit it. They jump to spike it and the other team jumps to block it, but they dont hit it. I come from the back and spike it down on their side of the court. *whistle sound* and now the score is 24-26. I did it, the last score. I HAD THE LAST SCORE. "YEAHHHH" I yell. Next thing i know, the girls are carrying me on their shoulders while i cry tears of happiness. "YOU'RE AMAZING KIDDO" yelled Alex. 

Everything calmed down and after everyone congratulated me. My family and friends came down. I then put my hair into a bun. Everyone came down except for Jason. "Hey, Jay wheres Jason?" i asked confused. Then someone opens the door, its Jason with balloons, roses, and a gift bag. I was just in shock, that explains why he didn't come with us to the game. I just ran to him and hugged him, shocking literally everyone. I have no feelings for Jason, but that surprise was something so sweet that i had to hug him. "Happy Birthday little rock star" he said hugging me. "thank you so much Jason, this is literally the cutest thing ever" i say still hugging him. "okay okay y/n let go of him" said Jayden letting out a chuckle. The rest of the guys did too. 

"well here you go y/n" Jason said with a warm smile. Then we kept talking just about the game. Then the guys wanted to take pictures with me. So I took one with each person and then we took a group photo. "Y/n, i lied" said Jayden. "about what?" i asked with a serious look. "the guys and i aren't really hanging out after this" he said smiling. "okay... so what are you gonna do then?" i asked. "well we are going to go back home first so get your things and lets get going" he said super happily. "okay" i said laughing. "I WANT TO CARRY THE BAG THIS TIME" yelled JJ. We all laughed, mom went in her car, dad in his, and Jayden took the rest of us home.
