Nya was sitting outside the school crying. What was she gotta do now? She then heard someone walk up to her. It was a boy with blue eyes around her age.
Boy: Are you okay?
Nya looked up at the boy.
Nya: Yeah.
Boy: I know you're not. What's wrong.
Nya: A mean boy took my doll that's special to me. And when I tried to take it back the a teacher took it and said she confiscated it until the end of the month.
The boy put his hand on her shoulder.
Boy: I'll help you get it back.
Nya was filled with hope and nodded. They thought of a plan how they would get to the room with confiscated toys and other things without the teacher noticing.
First Nya sneaked and looked inside the teacher's office and saw her grading papers. She signaled the boy that ut was clear. He ran up to the door with a chair and leaned it against the door so ut couldn't be opened. They then quickly ran to the room.
Nya: Ok we're here. But we don't have the key.
The boy smirked.
Boy: Oh yes we do.
He showed Nya a key ring full of keys.
Nya: How did you get that?
Boy: I'll explain later. Let's be quick.
He unlocked the door and they walked in. Splinter saw them and made his way closer to them and then sat still like a toy.
Boy: How does your doll look like?
Nya: It's look like a rat with clothes.
They looked around and then the boy saw Splinter and picked him up.
Boy: Is this it?
Nya turned around and saw Splinter in the boy's hand.
Nya: It's him.
The boy gave her Splinter which she hugged.
Nya: Thank you.
Boy: No problem.
They walked out of the room and closed the door. But then when they turned around they saw the teacher and Robin.
Robin: Like I said miss. They snuck into the school.
Teacher: I really want a good excuse why.
Nya couldn't think of one but then the boy stepped forward.
Boy: I was helping her get her doll back that's very special to her. Which taking it from her and saying thay she get it back in a month is just wrong.
Teacher: How dare you tell me what's wrong or not? Who do you think you are?
Boy: The principal's son. And my mom would like to speak to you.
He pointed behind the teacher and their stood his mom.
Principal: Taking something that's very special to someone? That's just disgusting. And you Robin. I've been hearing what you did. Both of you my office.
Teacher: But.
Robin: Miss no.
Principal: Now!
They both walked to her office as the principal turned to the boy and Nya.
Principal: I'm proud of you son. And you young lady. Sorry for That teacher's behavier.
Nya: It's ok. I got Splinter back so I'm happy.
Principal: So his name's Splinter. That's cute and he's cute too. Well off you go.
Nya and the boy walked outside, Nya was still holding Splinter.
Nya: Thanks again.
Boy: No problem. That's what friends do. If you wanna be my friend.
Nya: I would like to. I'm Nya and you?
Leo: My name is Leonardo but mom calls me Leo.
Nya: Nice to meet you Leo.
They shaked hands and then Leo looked att Splinter.
Leo: If you don't mind. Can I hold him a little?
Nya looked at Splinter and he gave a little nod.
Nya: Sure. But be carefull.
She handed Splinter to Leo and he moved his fingers feeling Splinter's fur.
Leo: It feels so real. And he's so cute.
He handed Splinter back.
Leo: Well I gotta go. See you tomorrow Nya.
Nya: See you tomorrow Leo.
They waved and Nya walked home with Splinter in her hand.
Nya: He was a nice guy. And one of my first friends.
Splinter: I'm so happy for you. What was his name again.
Nya: Leonardo but he's called Leo.
Splinter: Leonardo. Why do it sounds furmilier?
He thought about the name. Why did it sound furmilier?
Will Splinter remember more or not?
