Waking up in the morning, I felt strange about going into work. I wasn't even as nervous as I had been the day before, but I couldn't stop thinking about how Cole thought "EleDate" was a bad idea.

I mean, I initially thought it was a bad idea too, but after my first date, I was actually coming around.

It bothered me that Cole expressed a negative opinion after it was too late, and I also couldn't understand why he was so worried about it in the first place.

Either way... I supposed the dating had to go on. It wasn't like Dakota was giving me much of a choice in the matter.

I wasn't excited about going in today as I pulled my white blouse and black jeans from the closet. I was a little bit hungover- or just super tired from getting home so late on a work night- so I didn't feel like dressing up too much. I paired it with black close-toed heels and some gold jewelry before heading to my car.

When I arrived at work, Ellie was standing at the base of the elevator, blindfold in hand.

"Morning," I greeted, my tone indicating that I did not want to be here.

"Hungover?" She asked.

"Eh... not really; just tired. You?"

"Same," she yawned. "You ready for this?"

"I guess so," I stated even though I really wasn't feeling social this morning.

I turned around to let her tie on the blindfold and waited patiently while my "date" entered the elevator.

This time when I was given the "go-ahead," I was able to make it inside without almost falling on my face. However, I couldn't tell where the guy was standing, and he didn't say anything upon my entry.

It almost felt like I was in the elevator alone because  he was so quiet. I was about to take off my blindfold to check when he finally spoke up.

"Hello," he greeted. His voice sounded like he was standing directly behind me. It was honestly a little creepy, but I tried not to be dramatic about it. Slowly, I moved one step to the side, turning to face where I thought he was located.

"Hello," I greeted back, "I'm Kyla. Thank you for doing this."

My voice rang out into the elevator, but again I wasn't immediately met with a response. Instead, all I could hear was the whirring of the elevator as it began moving up the floors.

"Im sorry... is everything okay?" I asked, confused by the silence.

"Yes. All good," he muttered. I noted that the tone of his voice wasn't as deep as my previous date, and when he spoke, he definitely spoke with much less confidence.

"Um..." I started. It was so awkward in here; I wanted to get off at the next stop. I really wasn't sure if I'd be able to make it all the way to floor 50 with this man.

"I know this is a really strange way to date, and I was really nervous at first too. But why don't you tell me a little bit about yourself?" I pressed. Maybe the poor fella was just super shy?

There was another pause. "Like what?"

"I don't know... why don't you tell me about your hobbies?" I encouraged.
