SOMEWHERE ELSE.
This whole area seemed calm, neon lights and ticking holograms filled the streets with blue. No one. No single soul out here. In the distant was a humongous skyscraper, painted obsidian. It seemed heavily guarded by automated arms. Surely, this place belonged to a legendary thief. On the building was written boldly in italic:
K. T. J. A"You called for me, Kabuk, your lordship." A man said bringing down his hood revealing his masked face. His eyes and nostrils shone dim green.
"I bring good news." He added as Kabuk positioned himself on the massive throne made out of heavy metals.
"Say it, Gava." Kabuk ordered as he rubbed the gruff off his tattered beards, positioning his thick furred cape over his back.
"I have a major time freedom inhibitor." Gava stated clearly with an expressionless stance. He just stood still, true definition of a mercenary.
"Have you killed him?" Kabuk asked briskly with his thunderous voice.
"He dies tomorrow." Gava replied in an equally vile voice.
"Who is this person that you are sparing for another day? Is he so tough?" Kabuk asked gritting his teeth and clenching his fist.
"It's Harry, son of Gardnan. He needs a death he can't escape. They seem to be tough."
"Tough?" Kabuk asked and broke into an uncontrollable laughter. He shook violently on his throne laughing his guts out. This action vibrated the room startling the guards who were sleep standing out of boredom.
"Give him a TOUGHER death twice as excruciating as his father's." Kabuk demanded as his bulky eyes plopped out in instant rage.
"I would do so, Kabuk."
Kabuk gave a Gava a confirmation nod as Gava turned a tail and headed for the door. The huge tall doors went open by themselves as Gava went straight into the elevator. In one swoosh, he made it for the first floor which was one-thousand floors away from the top.
On the first floor, Gava was met with many nods and salutations. He held a very high position in this institution: Kabuk Time Justice Agency- K. T. J. AOutside the building, a fission jet hovered over the ground. Gava jumped into it and all green lights went on and keys of all colours appeared over the square plate on the dashboard.
"Welcome, Master G. There's quite a disturbance in the loop's gonogr-
"Go full throttle." Gava said shoving off the minor trouble. Instantaneously, the jet whizzed through the air leaving green fuel wakes. At the horizon, a circular swirling portal opened. Zooming, the fission jet went into it.
TSA
Everything was set and warming up. A public speech was recommended as journalists flooded the the foyer. The candidates were told not to be at the speech stage, negative influences and ideas could disrupt the mission."Mr Bernard, could you please tell us how many percentage the success of this mission is rated by the general algorithms." A journalist that would do anything to frustrate one's life asked. This was the third question, Mr Bernard had counted.
"That's the company's secret to keep. And if you wanna know, it's a hundred and fifty percent." Mr Bernard lied joining his index and thumb fingers together signifying perfection.
"Some say that this could be the end of the planet, is that true?" Another newsmonger asked.
"You know, we all live in this planet. Anyone who could say such blasphemous thing has never known what HOPE is." Mr Bernard said again this more sincere.
"I think that's enough question we would take. Thank you all and let's go home and HOPE for our survival. Be safe, the weather conditions are getting worse by the day. Stay home, stay SAFE." Mr Andrew advised as he let out an expression I would call a smirk.
News mongers can never be satisfied, they continued clamouring for more answers to their irrelevant questions.
