"Hi mom," i slurred a little walking into my house, rubbing my messy, knotty hair.

"Whoa, someone went a little overboard last night."

"Eh, I don't really know what happened last night...so, I guess you kind of could say that." I laughed.

"Um, I have some news for you," My mom said, rummaging through the pile of papers on the counter, "so this guy, he called last night, don't know how he got our number, but he said he found your journal. His name is... Ugh, I forget."

"What? Someone found my journal. NO!" I yelled.

"I guess so," she said, looking up at me and scratching her head.

"Ugh, that's personal stuff right there!" I huffed.

I wasn't really that mad, considering it was about a famous kid, and there was only two letters inside. But I couldn't live without my journal.

"I don't know what to tell you honey,"

"Well, is he going to return my journal?"

"Um, I don't know. He didn't quite say that."

I shook my head and walked up the stairs leading to my room. I lay down on my bed and log into my laptop.

After searching "youtube.com" and finding Cameron Dallas in my subscription box, I click on his newest video and watch it.

"He's so hot," I whispered to myself when my house phone rung.

I bolted down the stairs and saw my mom pressing the accept button.

"Hello," she answered.

"Okay. Yeah, um it's 398 Griffin Street."

"Who is it?" I asked.

My mom put her finger up to her lips, telling me to be quiet.

"Okay, sorry." She said, "it was that same guy. And oh yes! His name is Brandon."

"Oh...yeah don't know him."

"Well, he's going to stop over and drop off your journal."

"Okay," i said heading back up the stairs.

"Al, dinners almost ready." My mom called up the stairs.

"Okay!" I called back down, getting up out of bed.

I walked down the stairs right where the doorbell rang. I walked over to the door, creating a messy bun with my hair. I opened the door up.

"Oh, hey," i paused, "Brandon?" I questioned.

"Yeah," he laughed, "from last night, remember?"

"Kinda, not really." I smiled at the cute kid.

"Anyways, I, um, have your journal." He pulled on his hair.

"Thanks," I kept the smile on my face.

"Your welcome," he smiled back.

"Alright, i'm going to go eat dinner now." I pointed back to my kitchen and leaned on the door.

"Bye," Brandon waved and then headed off to his car.

'Dang, this kid is fucking hot.' I thought, but then instantly remembered Cameron, but also thought that he was a celebrity, he wasn't real life, I would never get him.

I sat down at the table with my mom and barged in on my food.

"Did you have any homework this weekend?" My mom asked me, as her fork clinked against the plate.

"Yeah, but it's all done." I responded.

"Ok, good." She said, "just think two more years of college and then you are done."

"Yeah, I know and it's almost summer too." I said with glee, then glanced down at my phone which had just buzzed.

Courtney: hey bitch

Me: Lyt

Courtney: Ahhaha ur too much young one

Me: anyways. Whats up?

Courtney: nm. bored

Me: im eating. Can i text u when im done

Courtney: yeah sure

"Ali, you know the rules." My mom scolded.

"Sorry," i pouted and drop my phone back in my lap.

I picked up my fork and swirled it around in my spaghetti. I brought the fork to my mouth and took a bite, slurping up the piece of hanging spaghetti.

"Don't do that!" My mom yelled.

"God mom, what are you going to do, just yell at me all dinner? Didn't know everything I did was that bad." I said, getting up and slamming the chair against the table and throwing my bowl in the sink.

I ran up the stairs into my room.

I walked into my bathroom and washed my face, relieving some stress from my mom. When she yelled at me even one time, I got really stressed, because she literally yells at me, once a year.

I slipped my glasses on my face, then laid down in bed, when my phone buzzed. I picked it up, and looked at my recent text from an unknown number.

Unknown: hey

I decided to leave it alone.

Laying my head back and slowly shutting my eyes, I fell asleep to the sound of police cars outside my window.

I closed my journal and sit in down on my comforter, stretching to get out of bed. I slipped my slippers off and walked over to my small bathroom.

I quickly got ready for school.

I ran downstairs. I grabbed a granola bar for breakfast and ran out the door, throwing my black leather book bag over my shoulders.

I took the long way to school this morning since I was early.

When I arrived at school, I opened the heavy glass door to the library. I set my bag down on one a chair at the table. I took the books that I needed for my upcoming class out, then headed over to Starbucks.

"Oooh, sorry." I moaned, when I bumped into a boy behind me with my drink in my hand.

"It's fine." He said, placing a hand on my arm.

"Wait," i sipped my drink from the green straw, "you're the kid that found and returned my journal.

"And the one who texted you," he paused, "last night."

I stared at him now.

"Um," he laughed, "anyways, can I walk you to your next class?"

"Um..." I stared at the floor.

"I'll take that as a yes."

I lightly laughed.
