He couldn't stay there a minute longer. The house that was once home now suffocated him. The walls closed in on him like there was no escape. The door slammed shut behind him.
By now the rain had cleared up revealing the twinkling stars. Jungkook let his feet guide him, his mind a whirlwind of thoughts. How could his father just sell him off to a random stranger, for no regard as to how they might treat him let alone how he might feel. Could he even call him a father anymore? Bastard. In no time at all he stood in front of a well kept house. The small front porch glistened in the little light supplied by the street lights. The house looked slightly bare without its usual flowers that blossomed in the summer. However the red brick house carried a sense of comfort and he subconsciously moved to give three sharp knocks on the dark green door. The hallway light flickered on and through the misty pane of glass he saw the blurry outline of his closest friend before the door opened and he was pulled inside, into the warmth and light.
It took a moment for his eyes to adjust to the sudden change in brightness; however his body was pulled into a tight hug, a hug that screamed comfort and love. Two things he really needed right now. In the bright light, his red eyes and tear stained cheeks were apparent and the fact he was in his date clothes didn't help at all.
"Kook? Kook!" Someone shook his shoulder, something fell onto his cheek, dampening them once again.
"Tae-" He couldn't even finish his sentence before a broken sob escaped his mouth, slowly starting in a torrent. Heart-wrenching sobs that shook his whole body. Tender hands guided him, up the mahogany stairs and into a bedroom he knew ever since he could remember. The same light beige walls, now with various paintings hung on them. In the corner a gramophone stood, while it wasn't a real one, by just inserting a CD music would fill the whole room, somehow always classical. An oak bed was pushed into the back corner of the room, sheets tangled around from this morning no doubt. He carefully avoided the books scattered on the floor and sank down on Taehyung's bed. The mattress sank down from his weight and was soon joined by another.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" Jungkook shook his head and instead leaned back into the warmth of his friend. The two boys lay down, enjoying each other's warmth letting the silence speak words of comfort. The night sky twinkled down at them through the window and slowly whispered to them to sleep, cuddled up letting dreams smother reality.
Everything would be fine.

The morning sun crept into the room, shining its happy rays onto the two sleeping figures. During the night, someone took Jungkook's wet jacket and replaced it with a fur throw. Not wanting to wake up, he snuggled deeper into the warmth. He could feel Taehyung's leg digging into his stomach, painfully. Trying to be comfier he moved back only to be met by air, then the cold hard floor which coincidentally had a book there too.
"Oomf-" What no one could ever do, a book managed to do in less than 5 minutes: get him up. Jungkook stood up with a glare, his trousers and shirt were a crumpled mess, destroying the hard work of ironing them. He looked over at the sleeping figure in the bed, not even his best friend falling off the bed and landing on one of his 'beloved' books could wake him. Jungkook scoffed and picked up said book.
"A Secret Garden. Wow. That's so you Tae. Let's do the same thing that woke me up to wake you." And proceeded to throw the book at his best friend.
"Owwww! Mum what was that for. You KNOW I need my beauty sleep especially on a weekend, it's probably like 9. I wake up at 11!"
"Dingbat, it's me! And what beauty sleep you talking about, no amount of sleep could fix that face."
