Chapter 21: Swimming in Love

(Ok so my SATs are Wednesday which is usually when I release a new chapter so instead I'm doing it today so I'm not leaving you guys without a chapter! I love you guys so much and I really hope my book blows up more so I can keep writing and being motivated by you guys!! Fred POV

Claire was telling me about how she got into the hair stylist business and why she's never been happier. I watched as her lips pursed before she told me another story of how she messed up a clients hair once! His gorgeous pink lips were vibrant lights and I was the moth drawn to her flame. After a second she seemed to pause as if she was thinking somewhere else. Ben splashed her in the face and she quickly snapped out of her trance as rage flooded her gorgeous face.

"BEN IM GONNA FUCKING KILL YOU!!!" She screeched as she shoved his ahead underwater, his arms flailing in the air like flying fish. Tyler laughed as he saved his boyfriend from the wrath of Claire. I couldn't help but stand in awe as I watched almost drown her best friend. She was a girl boss and an icon.

Claire swam back over to me and started asking me about my tattoos, which set off alarms in my head. I have a few very obvious tattoos, and scribbles thanks to "CoCo," that each pertain to my family!!! Chica from time to time is also called CoCo don't be weird and don't make it a thing ok? Anyway—

One is a white and blue top hat with coordinating microphone and a black top hat and microphone in the same style in honor of my mother and father and my family business! The next is the bear one that CoCo did, it was a silhouette of a bear with trees in the silhouette of the bear. That one pertained to my family name and my spirit animal. I also really like the movie "Brother Bear" (that is a joke but in all seriousness that movie is good)

Finally, I have different scribbles and markings like the acronym: FEAR which stands for "Fred Eats Ass Raw-dogging"

Yeah they are fucking stupid I know that. So I had to come up with a few more white lies..

"Oh the hats are a momento to the love I have for fashion and wedding fashion! Hence the white and black!" Claire smiled as she then asked about my Bear tattoo.

"I really like the movie Brother Bear and wanted my spirit animal to be a bear!" Claire let out the most adorable cackle as she clutched onto her stomach. Rude!!

"Are you for real!?" She started coughing from her laughter and gripped my arm for support. "What about the other ones?"

"I had a cousin who liked to practice her tattoos on me, I just kinda let it happen."

"Had? What happened?"

Time to put on a show, "Didn't you hear? I'm an orphan, no family left. My mother and father died in a crash and my distant family cut ties with us. I used to have a cousin but she disappeared and I haven't seen her since," I began to tear up for effect, "I used to think we were long lost brother and sister." Claire hugged me tightly, I hate lying to Claire but I am on a mission here and I need to keep up this facade until Goldie tells me to leave. It is gonna hurt leaving behind friendships like this but everyone knows a garden on a bed of lies only fosters weeds.

I wrapped my arms around her tightly before she cupped my face in her small and soft hands.

"I'm so sorry you went through that Fred, but I'm happy to be here with you now. You may be the funniest person I have every met in my life."

"Uh Fucking rude!!" Ben called as Tyler picked him up and lifted him on his shoulders for a Chicken-Fight.

"Just fucking kiss him already you tease!!" Tyler shouted as Ben laughed above him.

"Ben shut up you know I love you! And Tyler unrespectively shut the fuck up whore!! " Claire turned back to me and leaned close to my face. "I'll make you a deal, you help me defeat these two idiots and I'll make you a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream frosting! I heard it's your favorite!"

"Oh they are going down!!" I said as I lifted her into the air and placed her on my shoulders. We slowly made our way to Tyler and Ben trying to feel out the balance in water. Eventually we reached the two and Claire grabbed Ben's wrists attempting to shove him off with most of her force. Ben roared in laughter as he also tried to push him off. I stared right at Tyler and he began to stare at my body more closely. He seemed to be studying me and I quickly swooped his left foot while he was distracted. His eyes felt... unnatural on me.. Ben and Tyler fell into the lake while Claire and I stood victorious. I lifted her off of my shoulders and set her down gently in the water. She giggled in victory and kissed my cheek with her soft pink lips. My face started to burn in that way it does when you blush. I was in heaven!!

Bonnie POV

I sat on the shore, under an umbrella, as I watched the man I think I love get kissed on the cheek by my coworker.. it hurt me for sure.. Spring noticed and shimmied down his tower of lies to me. He sat on my towel and rubbed his back.

"You like him don't you?" Was all he said as he stared into the lake.

I felt my cheeks flush and panic rise in me, "No! What are you talking about!?" I clutched onto my arm. As he grabbed my shoulder roughly.

"Calm down spazz! I'm just making an observation. What's going on Bon Bon?"

"I thought I hated him. His face made me sick! His voice annoyed me! His stupid scream made me nauseous! But his eyes.. there's something special about them.. I can't explain it!!!" I buried my head into my arms. I felt a burning sensation rub down my face. Tears. Actual tears I may have cried before but this time it felt different.. like I was admitted from my crimes.

"Well, I know what I would do." He said as he ran his fingers through my hair.

"What.."

"I would rip Claire's head off of her shoulders and use it as a bowling ball!!" I burst into laughter.

"The fuck!? You sicko!!" I said through my laughter.

"Well the least you could do is tell Fred, when you're ready.. the worst that could happen is you set a piano on fire!" I laughed more as he gave me a tight squeeze before leaving to ascend his perch of lies!

Im not giving up so easily.
