Amelia was up at six, this was the day that James was coming home. They had all missed him and couldn't wait to have their family back together. However James had written quite a lot about his friends in his letters and Amelia only hoped that she would not be replaced with these boys but why would James do that, she thought, he was her brother. So when the maroon train pulled into the station, Amelia's smile grew, James was here. As soon as his familiar dark curls stepped out of the train she ran to him and engulfed him in the biggest hug
"I've missed you Jamie!" She said, a blond mop of hair flying in his face.
"Hey Bunny, I want you to meet my friends, Sirius Black." James pointed to a tall boy with black hair and a leather jacket on that was far to big for him. "Peter Pettigrew," James pointed to a rather small boy with buck teeth and bright blue eyes. Lastly James pointed to an extremely tall boy with dirty blond hair and a lovely smile. His eyes were like coffee and milk and Amelia felt she could loose herself in them for days. "Remus lupin." The boy stuck out his hand, while smiling. Amelia nearly melted at his touch and shook his hand which was warm and comforting.

When Amelia's Hogwarts letter had arrived in the post she was overjoyed. She, just like all her family, would be going to Hogwarts and Amelia couldn't wait to experience everything James had talk so much about. At Diagonally she was given her first pet. An owl, named Hera, it was a name she found in a book about Greek gods and goddesses. Amelia thought the name fit the owl perfectly, with its brown, white and black feathers. A trip to Madam Malkins insured that her robes where a perfect fit and at the end of the day her father let her visit Florine Fortescue's ice cream parlor. There James met up with some friends which meant that Mia and Fleamont practically had to drag James away from them.
Finally September 1st had arrived and Amelia was a nervous wreck. She would not just be visiting the station but this time getting on the train and traveling to her new school. For the fifth time that morning she checked her room for anything that may be left behind. The room was spacious and full of plants and CDs. Amelia tried to forget her troubles but no matter what she did her mind travelled back to the thought that she would be gone a whole year without her parents. Her glossy eyes made her mind foggy and she didn't realize that her mother had been calling for her for almost ten minutes. James then suggested he go up and get her. As he walked in he found the girl with tears in her eyes, James was shocked.
"What's wrong?" He asked kindly. "Are you alright?"
"No James! What if I make no friends and am lonely for the rest of school? Then I'll get bullied for being so unpopular that even the teachers won't to speak to me." Amelia sniffed.
"Well I'll be able to protect you, me and the boys will always be your friends." He gave her a grin and wiped away her tears. "You can sit with us if you want, and don't worry about making friends either, I felt the exact same last year."
"James," Amelia called. "What if I'm not in Gryffindor? Will you be sad?"
"Of course not. Your my sister, I'll always support you."James gave her another hug. "Now let's go, we don't want to be late." They raced down the stairs to meet their parents and apparate to Kings Cross.
"Everyone ready?" Mia asked and everyone replied back with a nod. Reaching out for her mothers hand, Amelia grabbed it and held on for dear life. With a soft squeeze to her hand and a loud pop they appeared in a familiar dark alleyway hidden away from muggle sight. Then they walked into the bustling station and towards platform 9 3/4.
"Best to get a running start I'd say." James whispered in Amelia's ear. She smiled, her nerves slowly melting away. So she took her trolley and ran as fast as her legs could go. Her eyes where jammed shut and as she slowly opened them she could see that the station was packed full of children. Some crying and some laughing, but they all couldn't wait to get to school.
