Apparently, Takuma's grandfather had unexpectedly requested to come over to the Moon Dorms one night and so Kaname granted that permission.
The Headmaster, Yuki, Zero and Fuyumi know much about that occurrence and Fuyumi requested to look over the event.

"Hello Ruka. How are you?" Fuyumi walked over to Ruka with a small smile across her face.
Believe it or not, Ruka and Fuyumi are quite good friends and have quite a bit in common.
"Fuyumi! What are you doing here? You're not suppose to be in the Moon Dorms." Ruka questioned the blue haired beauty.
"The Headmaster told me to overlook the event of the Takuma's grandfather coming over to the Moon Dorms. Asato Ichijo wasn't it?" Fuyumi looked up from the ground and her eyes narrowed,
"I mean, he is quite the celebrity among the Senate isn't he?" Fuyumi put a finger on her chin and huffed in acknowledgment.
"Yes indeed, but people shouldn't be afraid of him just because he is in the Council of Elders." Ruka crossed her arms in disagreement of Asato's reputation.
"Oh well, besides that conversation do you like my clothing? I think it's quite swell, don't you think?" Fuyumi traced her hands around her clothing and Ruka nodded in much approval.

"The clothing looks very delightful!" Ruka exclaimed with approval and liking.
Suddenly, Ruka and Fuyumi looked up to see the one and only Kaname Kuran.
"Lord Kaname, don't worry you don't need to come down for this!" Takuma tried to persuade his Lord but Kaname declined and said that he wanted to speak with him again.
It was obvious that Kaname hadn't seen him in a while.
Kaname looked over to Ruka's direction, wanting to know about the different presence in the room. When he saw Fuyumi, his eyes lit up a bit but then looked away when the door opened harshly.
And there he was, Asato Ichijo, Takuma's grandfather. He walked right up to Kaname and the aristocrats plus Fuyumi.
"I appreciate this warm welcome, but the only reason I have come tonight is to pay a visit to my dear grandson." Asato announced to the group whilst the rest of the Vampires on the side stared.
"Hello Ichijo, I'm glad to see you're well." Kaname said his greetings to the old man.
"We haven't seen each other ever since the day you refused to have me as your legal guardian and that's the last we spoke, Lord Kaname." Asato recalled the memories that did certainly stick to him like glue.
