okay so this chapter is gonna take place after chantel's hiatus so we're going from june to october.

October 20th 2018 ~ Highland Park

Chantel POV

It's been a few months since Billie started to slowly but surely gain popularity with the media and in the charts and I couldn't be prouder.

She's gotten pretty big and she was only gonna get bigger from here.

Though, I was pretty bummed since she'll miss my birthday tomorrow, but we got to squeeze in a little bit time to hang out before she leaves.

"Okay. I think I packed everything." Billie says zipping her suitcase closed.

"It's only for two months Bil, and you could've bought more clothes." I laugh at her extraness.

"I like my clothes, besides I get homesick and these clothes help remind me." Billie flops back onto her bed, throwing her arms out.

"This is the biggest tour I've ever done. Sold out venues. 38 shows. Are you freaking kidding me?" Billie shakes her head in disbelief.

"I knew you could do it." I smile at her.

Billie sits up and hugs me pulling me down onto the bed with her, "Ugh I wish you could come with me."

"Me too, but Zoe's going with you. You guys will have so much fun." I tell her.

"Yeah, but it's not the same." Billie pouts.

I knew the exact thing that would hopefully cheer her up. I sit up and grab my purse from Billie's desk and rummage through it looking for her gift.

"Whatcha looking for?" Billie asks.

I pull out the small box and sit next to her on the bed, "Since I won't see you for a while, I wanted to get you something."

I hand the box to her and she sucks her teeth, "Man, Chantel, I wish I knew you were gonna give me a gift. I would've gotten you something."

I wave my hand brushing her comments off, "Please, I love giving gifts. Just wait until Christmas. Also it wouldn't be as special if you knew."

Billie smiles, sitting up and opens the box, "Oh my GOD,"

"Chantel, I fucking love it." She covers her mouth with her hand.

The pure joy on her face made me feel warm, "The bunny reminded me of the Dangerous Woman bunny, and the skull reminded me of you since you're into creepy things like that, for whatever reason." I say jokingly.

Billie slips then silver bunny skull ring onto one of her ringless fingers, "This goes so fucking hard," She says staring at the ring in amazement.

"I'm gonna wear it every show." Billie looks up at me.

"Appreciate it. It's just a little reminder of who'll be waiting for you when you get back." I tell her.

Billie's expression changes and her smile drops, "I'm so sorry I'm missing your birthday."

I hug her, "Don't be sorry, It's okay, plus you being happy with your gift and giving your all during your tour, is gonna make me way happier than you think."

Billie wraps her arms around me squeezing tight, "Man you're so cheesy."

I giggle at her response, "I just love expressing my love for others, Even if it is cheesy."

We pull apart and I and hold her face with my thumbs rubbing against her cheeks, "You are gonna be amazing."

Billie smiles, I could see tears starting to fill her eyes.
