Chantel POV

I woke up to the sound of shuffling around my dark hotel room.

I look at the alarm, and it was almost 3am.

I sit up turning on the bedside lamp.

I see Billie shuffling around rushing to put her clothes on.

Once the light came on she looked at me like a deer in headlights.

I couldn't help but chuckle, "Of course."

"I can't stay, Chantel."

"This is the third time-"

"I know what it is. I don't need you to tell me."

"Then what the hell were you talking about last night? You said you love me."

Billie sits on the armchair, putting her shoes on.

"I do. I just have to go."

"It's 3 in the morning. You don't have to be anywhere." I cross my arms.

Billie sighs slamming her foot down, she was clearly annoyed but so was I, "What do you want from me Chantel?"

"I just want you to be with me, not just sleep with me and run away before I wake up."

Billie throws her head back and brings her hands to her head groaning.

"Billie." I try to get her attention.

"Chantel, I can't do this with you right now."

"When can you?"

"Jesus fucking christ Chantel I don't fucking know." Billie says raising her voice not trying to yell.

"You never want to talk to me, what's the issue?"

"Chantel please. Please don't fucking start."

"I'm gonna start." I sit up from the bed.

Billie glares at me as she's putting her other shoe on and says nothing.

Just scoffs and shakes her head.

"Ever since you started dating Xavier you've been weird. You barely look at me in the eyes, we can't talk to each other without even fighting. The only time we ever get along is when we're butt ass naked in bed."

Billie says nothing.

"Feelings and sex stuff aside, I do miss my friend." I tell her.

Which wasn't a lie, I do miss what it was like before Billie and I started sleeping together. It was just nice having a friend my age that I could relate to.

It felt as if the day I lost my virginity is what caused everything to go wrong.

"I don't know what you want me to do." Billie says still not looking at me.

"Make a goddamn choice."

Billie finally looks up at me, "Are you serious?"

"Me or Xavier?"

"That's not fair-"

"But cheating on your boyfriend with me is? Trust me, you don't want to argue about what's fair because that is a fight you will lose."

Billie stands up and starts heading for the door.

I get out of the bed rushing to stand in front of the door, to stop her from leaving.
