Chantel POV

I was going through a rack of dresses in a Boutique to wear on the red carpet for the Grammys in a week.

Which normally would be fine, but there was too much on my mind.

Why the hell would Billie date Xavier the day after we...

She didn't even wait 24 hours!

I couldn't help but think back to our conversation and how I reacted. I should've told her how I actually felt, but I didn't.

"Xavier asked me to be his girlfriend and I said YES!"

I felt my heart shatter into a million pieces, "Oh?"

"Dude, he brought me coffee and flowers, I almost melted right then and there."

No words could form, I was truly stuck.

"I-Um-Wow..."

"Yeah, So what was it you wanted to tell me?"

I felt tears prickling my eyes and my throat burning, "Oh I was just gonna ask about y'know, something stupid I forgot."

"Aw, well, If you remember just text me!"

"Mhmm."

Billie squeals, "Ahh! I'm so happy! Bye!"

Billie hangs up the phone and all I could hear was my shaky breathing.

"How'd it go?" Danny peeks out of his office, he then comes out when he notices my tears falling.

"Oh no, Chantel...What happened?"

"She-"

I could feel myself drop to the ground in tears.

I squeeze my eyes tight trying not to cry from the memory.

I must've stood there for a while because I could hear Piper's voice trying to get my attention.

"Chantel! Girl, are you awake?" Pipers fingers are snapping in my face.

I push her hands away, "I'm fine." Which came out snappier than usual but she looked at me with pity, and I hated it.

"What about this?" I pull a random dress from the rack trying to snap back to the task at hand.

"Ew no. That's ugly." Billie speaks up from her spot on the couch in Xaviers lap.

"Yeah so is your boyfriend but you don't hear me complaining." I mumble.

Piper elbows me in my side, "She's right there." She whispers to me.

I shrug and roll my eyes.

I was pissed off because how could she do that?

Why would she do that?

Just forget about our night together and start dating some guy.
