Chantel POV

I think about Billie so often throughout the day. She was all I could think about.

I think back to our heated kiss at midnight, and i'm so damn glad she kissed me.

The way her lips formed perfectly with mine, or the way my hips slightly bucked as her hands slowly went down my back to my-

"Yo, Chantel! Are you paying attention?" I could hear Danny's voice interrupt my thoughts.

"What? Huh," I ask snapping my attention back to where I was.

A meeting of course, a big one at that.

I was going to be an opener at the Grammys next month.

"Yeah. I'm here." I say grabbing the glass of water in front of me and taking a big sip.

"Did you figure out your set for your performance?" Danny asks his question again.

"Oh! Yeah, I'm definitely gonna perform a song from my second album, but I was thinking of doing a mashup of some of my most popular songs."

"That can work." A representative from the Recording Academy says.

"Yeah, and if there's any effects you want to add just let us know beforehand," Another rep says.

"You'd be surprised at how many people have temporarily lost hearing when an artist decides to use those colorful powder cannons on stage." The two of them chuckle.

"Will do." I nod.

"Alright then, I guess this concludes our meeting, Thank you for coming." Danny says standing up and I follow suit.

The two reps shake both of our hands and Danny leads them out of the conference room.

I lean against the table, mentally scolding myself for getting distracted like that.

"I think that went pretty good. Though you seem a bit out of it. Is everything okay?" Danny asks turning to me.

"Oh yeah, I'm fine. Just kinda nervous for the performance you know?"

Danny walks up to me giving me a pat on the back, "No. I don't, but hey, you're gonna do fine. Don't worry."

"That's easy for you to say when it's not you that's gonna be performing."

"Chan. Seriously it's gonna be okay. I wouldn't be saying this if it weren't true."

I take his words as a sign to just stop talking and go do whatever I had planned for the day.

"If I didn't have other clients today, I could have treated you and your parents to lunch." Danny says in apologetic tone.

"Oh no that's okay. Last place you took us to, we got food poisoning." I cringe at how sick I had gotten that night.

"Yeah, your mom and dad thought I tried to get you guys killed." Danny shakes his head.

"I'm just gonna run a few errands with Piper and Harlowe, and figure out what to wear for that night."

"Alright then, I'll talk to you later then." Danny says giving me a hug and I hug him back.

A few hours later I was in the car with Piper and Harlowe, being driven to our next destination.

"So, pretty much everyone who's anyone has seen the video of you and that Billie girl being super close. Mind explaining that?" Harlowe asks after we've been sitting in silence for too long.
