Izumi Mishima is the childhood friend and crush of Enji Todoroki aka the Flame Hero Endeavor. Secretly she's also his 1st wife, while Rei is legally his first wife she technically his second. She's also the biological mother of Toya Todoroki and Seiya Mishima. Izumi decided that for the safety of her only daughter that she gave Seiya her maiden name of Mishima. She's the daughter of Heihachi and his wife Kazumi Mishima. Izumi has 3 brothers. Kazyua Mishima (full blooded brother), Lee Chaolan (Adopted brother) and Lars Alexandersson (Half brother via father) and a younger sister Reina {Half sister via her father}. Izumi had Seiya 3 years after Fuyumi was born. Sometime after her daughter Seiya turned 4,she was in an accident which resulted in some of her internal organs being removed, rendering her to be both constantly ill and completely incapable of ever becoming pregnant again.
Izumi's family quirk is dorment in direct female members of the Mishima bloodline, instead for females who have kids the Mishima family quirk known as "Devil Gene" acts as an enhancing Gene. Since her daughter is also the daughter of Enji Todoroki this is why her daughter has a flame quirk like her father, yet like her eldest brother Toya her flames are Blue and are even hoter then her father and her brother Shoto.
Izumi fully supported her daughter wanting to go to UA when she was younger. Izumi is also an expert in hand to hand combat & martial arts. When Izumi was in her late teens she became the first "Queen" of Iron Fist Tournament(No female has won the KOIF tournament before her). Izumi with the help of her parents, her brothers Kazuya and Lars and her Father taught her daughter Seiya various martial arts. Izumi enjoys sparing with her daughter and her nephews Jin and Ryu when she's feeling well. Izumi is also a force to be reckoned with if she gets mad.
Izumi adores her daughter's boyfriend Hawks/ Keigo Takami, then again the whole family adores Keigo. Even the family's exotic pets Kuma{Heihachi's grizzly bear}, Kagetora {Kazumi's Bengal Tiger} & Bagheera {Seiya's Black panther} adores him infact Bagheera is just as protective of Hawks as he is to his mistress Seiya. Izumi has even noticed that Kagetora & Bagheera watch over Hawks and Seiya if they fall asleep or take naps outside.
