The next morning, Katsumi woke up alone. No Keigo, or Bakugo by her side. She wondered if she had dreamt the previous night. But then she saw two notes placed on the pillows beside her.

She smiled and picked up one of them and it was from Keigo.

Good morning, sleepyhead
I hope you slept well.

I know it's a lot to ask, but I need you to hold on just a little longer. I'm very deep into this mission and I cannot risk blowing it up. I'm sorry for all the emotional turmoil and problems it has cost you. I've never felt such guilt and regret. Although I know you are smart enough to know the stakes here.

I want to protect you. As your brother, it's my natural instinct and from where I am, right now, there are hundreds of Katsumis out there that need to be protected. As a Hero, it is my duty to save all of them.

Luckily, you've got someone to lean on now. This does make me a little jealous. I don't like that brat's attitude but I can see how much he cares for you. He's good for you. BUT I still don't like that snotty bastard. Idiot sleeping so soundly cuddled up to you. ̶I̶f̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶w̶a̶s̶ ̶u̶p̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶m̶e̶ ̶I̶'̶d̶ ̶t̶h̶r̶o̶w̶ ̶h̶i̶m̶ ̶o̶u̶t̶.̶

Don't hesitate to go to Eraserhead or anyone whenever you feel wrong. Communication is important.

I'll come home, to you soon. I promise.

Love,
Keigo.

Katsumi smiled and held the letter against her chest. She closed her eyes and revised the words he had written. Every sentence replayed in her head in his voice, his hand gestures, and his funny expressions. She knew she needed to get better. If not for herself, she needed to be better for Keigo. He was already under a lot of pressure, he shouldn't have another thing to constantly worried about.

She sighed loudly and grabbed another letter. It was from Bakugo.

Wake up dumbass. It's 7 am already.

Your shitty brother left before I woke up, that damn bird. He left you a note, don't worry I didn't read it. But letters are supposed to be our thing. Tell him to fuck off and say it to your face and not like a damn coward writing on a paper and disappearing.

"Isn't that what you're doing right now, Katsuki?" She said out loud and laughed.

Anyway, get your ass to my room whenever you wake up. I'd like to finish what we started and got interrupted last night (only if you want to).

-Katsuki

Katsumi jumped from the bed, brushed her teeth, showered, and ran to Bakugo's room.

For the next few months, nothing much happened. Katsumi celebrated Christmas with the class in the dorms. New years with Bakugo when they went on another trip, just the two of them. Classes and work studies happened as usual. She progressed immensely with her quirk and fighting ability.

She didn't hear from Keigo again. Only ever saw him a few times on t.v. and in newspaper articles. He seemed normal. She wondered what kind of mission was he on but ended up discarding the thought since it worried her greatly.

Bakugo never left her side even once. Their relationship was effortless. Bakugo, though usually went to bed early, only slept once he made sure Katsumi had fallen asleep. He'd not show it but he became extra cautious and careful around her. Checking up on her mental state, her nightmares, and her feelings.

Katsumi eventually began therapy at UA. Surprisingly, UA had a council of three therapists available for students who suffered from PTSD, anxiety, and other mental stress problems. Katsumi was assigned to Dr. Annu Sharma. And after those four months of therapy-- from December to March-- Katsumi felt like a new person.

The first two months were rough. She talked her problems out, her fears, her insecurities. She didn't observe any drastic change. Nothing changed about her quirk, her personality, or her body. But during March, her concentration power increased noticeably. Her quirk in general was effortless to use without taking a toll on her body or mind.

Everything that was hard and exhausting, became easier and relaxing. At some point, her nightmares stopped and Katsumi didn't even notice. Her insomnia was somewhat gone. She'd sleep easily without waking up in intervals at night.

She was getting better and she could feel it.
