✨ Skylar ✨
It should really be illegal to look that good.
It's a reward really, after the mental torture acceleration graphs has put me through, this view in front of me makes me forget all the frustration that has washed over me.
Everything around me fades away as I stare at the scrumptious, golden brown crummed delicasy known as chicken strips placed in front of me.
I slowly picked one up and brought it towards my mouth. I bit into it and it was like I was welcomed to a whole new world of chicken and breadcrumbs.
(Shining, shimmering, splendid🎶)
Before the other chicken strips could meet the same fate as their fellow brother, the sound of someone sitting down across from me quickly catches my attention.
To be honest when I walked into the canteen I zoomed to the first table that was empty and I didn't really care if this was someone else's ''spot'', ya snooze ya lose bitch.
I prepared myself for the confrontation but when I looked up I was met with a familiar head full of bright auburn hair and a bright smile that made me slightly squint.
"Hi new friend." She said with positivity that could rival a bunch of protons.
"Oh uh, hi Lucia. Am I sitting on your table cause I can like move to another one." I said awkwardly as her smile never faltered, don't know if that should scare me or not.
She was about to say something, positive I assume, but was cut off by a voice that called out to her and that ducking voice will always make me want to bang my head against the table multiple times.
I looked over to the side to see the one, the only, Caleb motherfreaking Preston sitting at an almost full table across from me. I caught him glaring at me but he quickly stopped before someone would notice.
"Come on Lucy, I have your favourite vanilla flavoured cupcake my mom baked." The blond boy from this morning, that I now notice could be Caleb and Levi's bestfriend, said persuadingly as he slightly waved a delicious looking cupcake in the air. I could also see a faint red spread on his cheeks. Oh, so it seems Lucia has an admirer.
Lucia's eyes followed the cupcake from left to right in a daze before slightly shaking her head as if she broke free from a spell before she pouted a bit as she looked from me to Caleb's table then back at me.
"But she's my friend and I want to sit with her today and maybe for the rest of the week because that's what a good friend would do." She said with a complicated expression.
"Trust me Cia, you really don't wanna sit with her." Caleb said with a forced smile after he glanced at me with narrowed eyes.
I saw how Lucia opened her mouth to say words of objection but I cut her off.
