Neither of them went to school. Tommy called them both repeatedly, but their phones were off as they sat in the tree house lazily all day. Tubbo knew how much trouble he would be in when Schlatt found out he skipped school. Or that he snuck out. But Ranboo was worth it, xe was worth everything. Even if they didn't know it. 

Ranboo was tired. Xe was so, so tired. They just wanted to sleep but knew as soon as xer eyes closed they just be woken up by nightmares of xer mother and the man named Hector. They teared up when Tubbo told xem to get some shut eye. Tubbo felt bad, and clung to them, pulling xer head to his chest and gently rocking back and forth. Ranboo almost fell asleep right then, but forced their eyes open. Xe didn't want to see him. 

But sitting there, being rocked in his closest friends arms, they couldn't stay awake. Slowly xe drifted off to sleep.

He looked down on them, trying to make eye contact. Ranboo doesn't like eye contact. Xe keeps their eyes closed. But the man slaps xer face.

"Open your eyes! I wanna see your eyes!" The man shouts. They open xer eyes but look away, staring at the wall. "Look at me! Look at me, boy!" Ranboo winces, they feel a harsh jaw on xer jaw, they saw xer mother, smiling at them, and harshly forces xer to look at the man.

"Perfect, now for my favorite part," the man says, with a creepy grin.

Ranboo shoots up with a shout, hyperventilating and sobbing.

"Hey, hey, Boo, your okay, your safe, okay? Your safe Boo," Tubbo comforted, pulling them into a hug, but Ranboo pushes away, afraid. Xe couldn't see Tubbo, they couldn't hear Tubbo. Xe felt hands on them, it was the man. He was trying to do it again. It couldn't happen again.

Tubbo was panicking, sure Ranboo had panic attacks, so did he, but it was never this bad. Xe never refused a hug or was afraid of Tubbo or Tommy.

"Boo? Ranboo! Ranboo please, it's just me, it's Tubbo, please calm down, please!" Tubbo pleaded. It was roughly 4pm. He knew Tommy would probably show up any minute. 

"No! No! Don't touch me! Don't hurt me! Please! Not again!" Ranboo was screaming, flailing about, Tubbo had to dodge their lanky arms and legs as xe thrashed.

"Ranboo please! Nobody is trying to hurt you! I won't touch you, I promise!" Tubbo was sobbing too now, it hurt to see his closest friend like this, afraid of him and screaming.

"Mom! Mommy please! Help me! I'm sorry! Don't let him! Don't let him touch me mom! Get away from me!" Ranboo continued to scream. 

Tommy had figured his two best friends were at the tree house. When he approached he heard screams and panic. He broke into a sprint. Climbing the ladder so fast he slipped and almost fell, he threw himself through the doorway.

"Tommy! Tommy I don't know what's happening they were panicked this morning and hadn't slept and xe fell asleep and then they woke up and xe has been like this since! I don't know what to do! I tried to hug them and xe just cried harder!" Tubbo cried out through his sobs.

Tommy had a clue as to what they thought was happening. Techno had been the same way a couple of times. It said it's because of a foster home it had been in for two years. Tommy thought back to how Phil would talk to Techno when it was panicking like this.

"Ranboo," he started in a soft voice, slowly approaching the mattress, "it's me, Tommy, your best friend, whatever it is you think is happening, it's not real, it's in the past okay? I promise you that your safe here, it's only you, me, and Tubbo. Nobody else. I know you're scared, and I know that I can't just make it all better, but we can work on it okay? Together, just the three of us. It's going to be okay, just take some deep breaths," Tommy continued quietly. 

After ten minutes of Tommy's kind affirmations, Ranboo stopped flailing and screaming. They started trying to catch xer breath. 

"There you go, you got it, just like that. Can I touch you? Is that okay?" Tommy asked gently, with a small smile. Ranboo wiped the tears from their face with xer sleeve, even though they just kept coming. Slowly, they nodded. Tommy and Tubbo both sat next to xer, one on each side. They both hugged Ranboo as they caught xer breath. 

"Can you please tell us what that was about?" Tubbo asked, sniffling as he wiped his own tears away.

"I... I guess I should ex...explain huh?" Ranboo said sadly. "I'll tell you, but you can't tell Phil or our teachers, or anyone, nobody can know okay? And you CAN'T take me away from mom," Ranboo told them.

"We won't, promise," Tubbo agreed, Tommy nodded.

"Mom... she got a new boyfriend, nothing new. Last night she came home around two, high or drunk or something, with this guy she called Hector. They were gonna, y'know, but I accidently made a noise. They both came over to me and he... he... touched..me... In ways that I didn't like, and mom... mom just stood there and watched. She was smiling. He made me look him in the eyes the whole time and he kept hitting me and.... it lasted for hours, he didn't leave until five, that's when I called Bo.." Ranboo explained, a new round of tears leaking down their face.

"Oh my gods," Tubbo gasped, putting his hand over his mouth. He tightened his grip on Ranboo. 

"Boo... I.. I'm so sorry that happened, I wish I could have been there to do something," Tommy spoke, his voice cracking.

"The entire time.. He... was calling me all these names, as if he cared. 'Baby boy' and 'My prince' were some of his favorites, I...I couldn't stop thinking about how I didn't want to be anyones baby boy or prince, I don't want to be a boy at all and I just..." Ranboo finished.

"Your not. Your not a boy, your our favorite genderless gremlin, remember?" Tubbo assured xer.

Ranboo's stomach grumbled.

"I'm hungry..." They admitted softly.

"You up for Puffy's Parlor?" Tommy offered with a smile. Ranboo perked up at the mention of xer favorite ice cream parlor, they nodded vigorously, Tubbo and Tommy both giggled.
