Kim Jungwoo, my first love.
But also, the absolute player of the century.
With deep brown eyes, wisps of golden dark hair frames his face, damp with sweat from the previous football game. His oversized shirt is plastered against his body, showing off the muscular definition he gained from playing sports. I envied his warm milk-like skin, that was smooth and dewy and squishy.
Jungwoo's favourite sport is football. Ever since high school he would play football. Even though he wasn't planning on having a career with it, he loved football and played it at college too. He was one of the best players, a cheerful smile on his face whenever he was on the field. Not all his teammates like him. Too many are his enemies, but he's learnt to deal with them and doesn't let their words affect him. At least, that's what he told me. And he said I should do the same too.
Due to his good looks, personality, and being on the football team, all throughout high school to now he's been popular. Girls in high school would crowd round his classroom, cheering his name as they waited to deliver their love notes. In response, this player would blow kisses through the window, teasing them by 'accidentally' pulling up his shirt once in a while. I'll admit, I blushed too. Whenever in class, everyone would pray they were partnered with the smart, funny and kind Kim Jungwoo.
Valentines was the worst though. His locker would be bursting with chocolates, cards and gifts, ranging from expensive off-the-shelf items to cheap handmade novelties that probably took days to make. Every time a girl would confess to him, he'd decline, with a cheeky grin on his face as he'd caress the poor girls hand whilst doing so. She'd be torn between hating him or her love for him intensifying, and if she were really lucky, and Jungwoo took a particular liking to her, she could possibly experience something beyond holding hands.
This boy however, would never commit to a girl. He hated dating, and only liked to play around.
Jungwoo was amazing, and he knew this. In fact, he'd rub it in my face quite often. It's quite annoying, if I'm being honest.
Oh, in case you haven't caught the drift, Kim Jungwoo is one of my close friends. We went to high school together, and now attend the same college, and ever since high school I've had a lingering crush on him.
And unlike him, I'm not as popular nor charming. People usually talk to me to get close to him, and it used to hurt a little, but I've gotten used to it, and learnt to shut these people down.
Unlike Jungwoo, I'm not as sexy and loveable. I'm more calm and as my best friend Lia told me, adorable. I also hate being around crowds, and like keeping to myself, hence me staying in my room most of the time, unless my friends drag me outside. And that's ok, although being next to Jungwoo, and the equally amazing people that seem drawn to him, it makes me feel insecure at times, if I'm being honest.

"Hey, Lia, hurry up would you?" I nagged, tying my shoe laces.
"I'm almost done with my makeup!" Lia yelled from my bedroom as I checked I had the cake safe in it's box. I approached the full-size body mirror in the hallway, double-checking my appearance.
I had held my lengthy black hair up into two high ponytails, each flicked at the bottom for a cleaner look. As decoration, I had curled thick light blue ribbons around my hair, the colour of our college's football team. To match, I wore Jungwoo's spare football shirt that he gifted me, which hung loosely yet nicely over my small frame, as well as thick chunky white shoes and socks. To define my waist, I slipped on a silky pair of baby blue shorts, ones that had a sporty look to them, with white stripes at the hem.
