𝗦𝗜𝗫!

"𝗪𝗘 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗦𝗢 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬 𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗢 𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗢𝗙 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘," The announcer on stage says, "My name is Ryan and I will be your host. All of you wonderful bands, will be slowly whittled out until the judges have picked the best one. Tonight is a night to meet some other bands, form friendships and maybe even rivalries." He laughs, "Anyway I hope you all enjoy." As he finishes he steps off stage.

"I don't like him that much."

"Marlene, you don't really like anyone." Arabella retorts.

"Yes, I do! He's just too happy."

"Sure, believe what you want, Marls." Lily says. Mary and Dorcas laugh.

All the girls were sitting a circular table that had been assigned to their band, there was a small stage at the front of the room. They didn't need to go far from their apartment, the building was set up like a hotel with conference rooms. The dinner took place in one of them.

The other bands were not as outfit-coordinated as Stardust, in Arabella's opinion they looked the best.

Though there was a guy with black jeans and an open white button up, he had long curls and was wearing doc martins. Overall he just had a vibe of "everyone loves me and I know it", and honestly it suited him.

His band was sitting on the other side of the room. He was really the only she could see, there was a boy on his right with light brown hair and a grandpa sweater. Then next to him was two boys with curly black hair, one was longer than the others. Arabella couldn't really see their faces though. She thought the one who was two seats away from grandpa sweater guy had glasses, but she wasn't sure. Next to glasses was a boy with blonde hair and a wide grin.

"Ara," Mary says trying to get her attention. "Arabella." she snaps and Arabella jumps.

She laughs and puts a hand over her heart, "Don't scare me like that, woman."

Mary laughs, "We were asking you what colors we should do for our performance. Marlene came up with bubblegum pink and we agree that it would look good, but we wanted to know what you thought, to make sure we were all on the same page."

"Oh yeah, I love that idea but I feel like just one color is too much."

"Yeah, we could add black and white, to help break up the pink?" Dorcas suggests.

"I think that's great," Marlene says. Arabella, Lily, and Mary smile at each other knowingly.

"If you two are done flirting, we need to address a more important matter," Lily says, "The buffet is open and I'm hungry." Dorcas and Marlene flush at the first part.

Lily smiles, pleased with herself as she stands up and walks to the food table, her band mates following close behind and Arabella giving her a secret high-five.

"𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗨𝗖𝗞 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗦𝗘?" Remus asks gesturing to the food on Regulus' plate.

"Oh that's escargot, Wallburga always made us eat them at her fancy dinner parties."

"Isn't escargot, snails?"

"Yes."

"I- okay."

"Well boys are we ready? Our first performance is 24 hours from now." Sirius asks once the boys are back at their table from the buffet line.

"Absolutely."

"Yeah."

"I mean sure."

"Absolutely not." James says, "I'm so bloody fucking nervous, it's not even funny. Plus I saw a cute redhead earlier in a purple dress. She'll probably be watching our performance."
