𝗘𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧!

"𝗢𝗞𝗔𝗬 𝗦𝗢," Arabella starts, "Our only major critique was that we needed to be more confident and comfortable."

"I feel like that will be easier to accomplish now that we've performed once." Lily says, "Because I agree with Delia, I was super nervous but then I started to see that there wasn't anything really to be nervous about."

"Everyone agree?" Arabella asks and Marlene, Mary, and Dorcas all nod.

"So then we don't really need to get better?" Marlene asks.

"Yes, we always need to get better, Marlene." Arabella says.

Marlene sighs, knowing that when Arabella gets in this headspace- it's hard to get her out.

"𝗪𝗘𝗟𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘, 𝗪𝗘𝗟𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘," Ryan says to the bands, they gathered back to the conference room for the speaking portion.

"Dont fuck this up Reg." James says reassuringly.

"Would the chosen members from each band come up for the speaking portion!"

The people do as they say and Regulus stands next to a person with short purple hair on his left and a guy with blonde hair on his right.

"So for this I will go down the line asking each of you a generic, easy question. Then we'll get to the harder questions for specific people. First..."

Regulus watched as he slowly made his way down the line, he watched the judges make notes, and soon it was his turn.

"Hello, please state your name and your band."

"Hello, I'm Regulus Black and I'm with The Marauders." Sirius cheers in the audience and Regulus smiles, starting to relax.

"Okay well Regulus what's your bands biggest inspiration?"

Regulus goes straight for the flattery, "Henry Davis, one of our very own judges, was a huge inspiration for my band mate to, first off- to create our band and come up with our music."

Ryan smiles, "Great answer." He then moves on.

Regulus starts to zone out again until he hears a familiar voice.

"Hello Ryan! My names Arabella Santos and I'm with the band Stardust." The girl speaks.

She looks oddly familiar, and her voice- oh shit. Regulus thinks, it's the girl I almost ran over.

"𝗛𝗘'𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗚𝗨𝗬 𝗪𝗛𝗢 𝗔𝗟𝗠𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗥𝗔𝗡 𝗠𝗘 𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥" Arabella says to herself as Ryan asks 'Regulus' a question.

She is furious. And quite nervous.

But hey- fake it till you make it.

"Hello, and what's your name and band name?" Ryan asks, now standing right in front of her.

"Hello, Ryan!" she says, sounding very confident and nice. "My name is Arabella Santos and I'm with the band Stardust."

Arabella can feel his eyes burning holes into the side of her head, but she manages to ignore it and answer the question.

"Wonderful! And how did your band get its name?"

Arabella laughs, "Well, we got the star from my name and then just kinda went with it."

Ryan laughs too, "That's great!" He then moves on.

She can see the judges taking note, and can feel the guy staring- still.

Arabella turns so his eyes meet hers, he smiles a cocky smile and she rolls her eyes.

Just great, she thinks to herself.

But the show must go on.

"Now this is a question for anyone to answer: What was the inspiration for your first song?"

Many questions are asked and many people answer, and Arabella knows she needs to answer at least one. The Regulus guy had already answered one.

"Next question: Whats your favorite part about this competition?"

Arabella steps forward and Ryan rushed over, handing her the microphone.

"My favorite part about this competition is the environment and opportunities that are given. The judges and the people are very interesting and everyone just created a great environment together. There are also many opportunities here, like just being here is an opportunity on its own, and for that we thank you." Arabella finishes with a smile.

"That was constructed beautifully, thank you."

Arabella smirks to herself, knowing the guy is scowling at the praise that she was receiving.

"𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧'𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗚𝗜𝗥𝗟 𝗜 𝗔𝗟𝗠𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗥𝗔𝗡 𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥" Regulus says to his band mates once they get back to the apartment.

Peter frowns, "huh?"

"Oh yeah you guys weren't there, I almost hit a girl with my car."

Peter still looks confused, and kind of shocked too.

"Which one?" James asks, "Which girl- not which time."

"Arabella Santos, with Stardust. I heard her voice and immediately knew."

"Sounds kind of stalker-ish to me, Reggie." Sirius says.

Regulus gapes at him, "I am not a stalker."

"Sure, keep telling yourself that."

"𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗥𝗘𝗚𝗨𝗟𝗨𝗦 𝗚𝗨𝗬 𝗪𝗔𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗗𝗜𝗖𝗞 𝗪𝗛𝗢 𝗔𝗟𝗠𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗞𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗗 𝗠𝗘." Arabella says, throwing her hands up in exasperation.

Marlene gasps, "Really? You mean the one who made you drop my first birthday cake?"

Arabella nods, "Ugh I hate him so much."

"Do you hate him enough to write a song?"

"You know what, I am and that's what I will do." she dramatically storms out. Anger and lyrics in her mind.

She was ready for revenge.

"𝗨𝗚𝗛 𝗜 𝗛𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗛𝗘𝗥." Regulus says some time later, he's in his room on his own. "I want to wipe that smirk right off her face."

He thinks for a minute before sitting up, "I know exactly how to do that."

It was James who found Regulus the next morning, hunched over at his desk, four cups of coffee in front of him, and papers strewn around the room.

"What are you doing??" James screeches, startling Regulus.

Regulus- who was very sleep deprived- smiles, "I wrote a new song."
