Recap:

The car stopped by my side, and the tinted glass was up. It rolled down, in a while.

"Hey."

Recent:

My breathing stopped. I could barely feel my heart-beat. Guess who was that? THE MYSTERIOUS GUY.

Anyways, I won't be dumb in front of a guy with whom I'll talk for the first time, so yeah...

"Hi." I finally managed to say.

He smirked. Oh, the smirk. Breathe Mel, breathe.

I took a deep breath and gathered my confidence, as I realized that he is 'just' a random guy from school.

"What?" I said sternly, raising an eyebrow.

"Well umm... hi?" he stammered.

What the hell?

"If you'll excuse me, I got to pick my brother up. So, bye." I finished.

"Yeah, sure. Bye." He said, pulling back the smirk on.

I gave him a small smile and skated towards Jason's school.

After a while, someone honked behind me, again. Ugh.

I stopped. The car beside me and the windows rolled down. This time, it was Devan.

"Oh, you? Hey." I said.

"Were you expecting somebody else?" Devan asked.

"No" I said, "umm, the canteen guy talked to me." I finished.

"Oh okay. You could rather sit in my car and tell me the story. Could you?" Devan asked hopefully.

"There's no story, you know?" I said.

"So, is there something you want me to know?" he asked.

"Devan? Stop. He just said 'hi' twice and nothing else." I replied and giggled, seeing the concern.

"Okay, so come on, I'll drop you." He said.

I sat in the passenger seat and we were off.

"Do you like dogs?" Devan questioned.

"I am not an animal person. So, no. I don't like dogs." I replied, showing him the directions to Jason's school, at the same time.

"Oh!" he said.

I asked "and you?"

He said with a bright smile "I had a cat, and I loved it so much that, I gifted it to my aunt."

"So you are not an animal person too?" I smiled at his answer.

"Yeah," he said, "how far?" he continued.

"5 more minutes" I assured, as he stopped in one of the signals.

"You said the same thing five minutes ago too," he screeched.

"Five minutes ago, I told you to shut up and drive," I assured.
