So yeah me and Leif may have run into a couple of... officers and we are currently running away from them. Yay. "I told you we shouldn't have took that route Y/n but Noooo!!!" Leif yelled over the sirens. I huffed at her comment. "You can't just blame me you were following you stomach to when you walked into the doughnut shop as well dumbass!" I yelled back at her hearing a groan from her. "Shud up your the one who woke me up to watch anime with you at two in the morning!" Leif retorted back as we dashed into our shared apartment gathering our essential.

"Good to go y/n?" I heard Leif ask from the living room. "Ummm—yeah!" I quick scooped up my my back pack ,and swung it over my shoulders.
We've practically done this our whole lives moving around whenever people find us. Eighteen trips ago we both lost our parents; They got caught by some police officers and were shot on the spot. I was only 12 Leif was 14. Now Leif is 23 and I'm 21 and we've been on our own for nine years.

For a mile we could see cop cars parked around the apartment complex with all types of officers standing their ground behind their cars and doors, guns pointed straight at us. She looked at me and I knew that look she was going to try something that we have been practicing. The question was will It work this time.
I nodded my head and grab her scale covered hand and chanted something in old English while she focused on making a magic circle that we could jump into and end up who knows where, or when.
Gunfire was going off almost making us lose our concentration. I looked behind us and the officers broke down the apartment door. The chanting part was finished and a portal opened with the help of Leif and her dragon—demon magic?powers??? Who cares I pushed her into the portal which made her yelp. "Sorry Leif!" I hollered into the portal and I heard a small 'what the devil firefly' in return. The cops finally spotted me and I flashed them with a bright light making them go blind while I had my chance to jump into the portal. And with that the portal closed and I was now falling from the sky.
