"Marlee! Slow the hell down! We're going to crash!" Damon is screaming.
I'm currently rushing down the road that leads back to the pack house driving Damon's lambo extremely fast. Confused, well let me explain.
*Flashback*
I was currently waiting for Damon to finally open his eyes in our room. For the past hour, the only thing that has been running through my mind is different ways that Jake could possibly be my brother. Was it my mother with his father? Or my father with his mother? At this point, it doesn't matter. Right now, I just want to see my mate's beautiful blue eyes.
"Hey, your eyes are pretty beautiful too us know." Damon's voice pipes in.
"Shush, not now Damon I'm waiting for you to become conscious again." I say.
I then pause and let what just happen process through my mind. I turn my attention to my mate's face. His eyes were not completely open, but open enough to see the blue seep through. Almost like how one slowly opens their eyes in the mornings because of the brightness in their room. He had a smile, correction, a smirk, on his face. I give him a genuine smile back before punching his shoulder.
"Ow! What the hell did I do?" He asked.
"Seriously, here I am freaking my little ass off for you to wake up after being hit by a silver bullet and your smirking at me?" I respond.
"Sweetheart, I'm okay. Thanks to you I'm okay. You had nothing to worry about." He told me calmly.
I sighed, "I know it's just, I don't know what I'd do if you got a major injure. Major enough to end your life. You know that your my only weakness. Every Argentum lupus has the one weakness of their mate. And it's not just that your my weakness. But your the person I care about most in the world. How would you feel if I came close to death?"
He growled. "Don't even make me think about that after I just woke up from being unconscious."
"Exactly so imagine having to wait while your mate is unconscious, it's extremely nerve racking to say the least." I said.
"Okay I understand I should not have been smirking but I couldn't help it. You told me to shush because you were waiting for me to wake up. You can't tell me that's not smirk worthy." he argued.
I sat there quietly looking at my mate before muttering, "Yeah that was pretty funny."
