New beginnings {Michael Afton x reader}

Chapter 1. The Afton Difference.

It seemed terrifying moving to a new place. Like she had to start her life over. But Y/n actually enjoyed her new home, her new neighborhood, her new life. It almost seemed too perfect. And it was. Y/n had a suspicious feeling about her parents' new boss, and boy is she glad she felt that way.

 The Afton's gave off a weird vibe, and their kids seemed traumatized in a way. Evan, their youngest, always cries and seems horrified. He won't speak to Y/n either. Elizabeth is always happy but it seems fake. It seems like an act. Then there's Michael.. He's a total heartthrob don't get me wrong but he always acts so tough. He thinks he is the biggest and the baddest, but Y/n doesn't really care. Mostly because she doesn’t feel anything towards him.

Yet.

Here she stands, face to face with Michael fucking Afton. In the woods. Alone. Just the two of them. Y/n silently stands there, staring at him. "You need something dirtball? Or are you just admiring my gorgeous looks?" The Afton son breaks the awkward silence. "Look here, who are you calling a dirtball?! Look at yourself, you're filthy!" Y/n snarls back. "I would be more careful with your word choices." Michael says in a playful yet dominant way. 

Y/n's heart raced, “holy shit”. She froze again, as Michael approached her. ‘Oh my god oh my god oh my god..’ Y/n’s mind could only say those words. She had to admit, she was scared. As Michael continues to approach, Y/n takes off in the direction behind her. Michael looks puzzled and shrugs it off. Then his friends show up, finally. He’d been waiting about 20 minutes for them to show up and of course they show up directly after Y/n leaves. Y/n continues running in the opposite direction trying to get as far away from them as possible. Eventually, after what felt like forever, she reaches her home and runs to her room where she locks the door in terror.

She wasn’t afraid of Michael, per say, but more so the fact that he is literally in her neighborhood, and the fact that she was alone with him didn’t help. It was the end. He would never think of Y/n the same now, he would definitely make fun of her more. Y/n L/n screwed up.

 A few minutes later, Y/n made the troubling decision to try and sleep. She laid down terrified of what could happen tomorrow. Though, she might not even see him. It is the middle of the summer so there is no school but Y/n’s parents still have work and her parents tend to take Y/n with them. Normally Michael is there.. She drifts asleep soon, but she does not sleep well. Her room felt cold and empty. 

The silent neighborhood was calming. The only noise in Y/n’s home was the faint sound of the tv. Outside, crickets chirp and the wind blows trees around quietly. If Y/n wasn’t trying to sleep, she would’ve gone outside to enjoy the night. But then again, what if Michael was also outside? What would he say to her?
