Chapter 3. Maybe He Deserves a Chance.

It was awkward. It felt wrong. He was forced into coming to the L/n house and now Y/n was falling for him. 

They sat staring at each other for a while, then the door opened. It was Clara Afton, or Michael's mother. "Hey, Mikey, we're leaving. Let's go!" 

Michael got up without saying a word. He glanced back at Y/n and then walked out. Y/n wanted to know all about him. He was so mysterious.. He was so interesting.

Y/n kind of wanted to go on a walk. She got stopped by her parents on the way out though. “How did things go with Michael?” Her mother asks politely. 

“Eh, he didn’t seem interested in me at all.” Y/n shrugs the question off, tying her jacket around her waist. “Well, he deserves a chance, you know. He has a pretty bad reputation and nobody to help him. You could be his help, Y/n.” D/n says to her from the couch. Y/n thinks to herself, ‘I don’t know about this, he seems crazy to me-’ “Sure, yeah..” Y/n heads towards the door. “Oh, where are you off to?” Y/n’s mother asks. “Maybe he’ll open up to you. I know how it seems but it’ll be okay.” Her dad continues to talk over her mom. 

Y/n opens the door, quickly storming off. She remembers there is a park nearby, so Y/n starts heading there.

She reaches the park and sits on the swing. The wind blew in her face as she swung back and forth. But then, she heard voices.

Everywhere Y/n went, there Michael was. It was a bit annoying.

The voices were new to her. All besides one of them, it sounded like Michael. That’s when four boys appeared. The park was in the back of the new neighborhood and it had a forest behind it. Y/n knew if these boys caused trouble, she’d just run into the forest. The girl predicted that these new people were Michaels friends. They looked strange. Each of the boys wore a different animal mask. 

One wore a chicken mask, another wore a bunny mask, there was a bear mask, and Michael had a fox mask. It took Y/n a moment, but then she noticed what it was. Freddy, Foxy, Chica, and Bonnie. The animatronics Mr. Afton made.

 That's when they saw her. “Aw man, someone decided to come to our spot.” The one boy said with a sarcastic tone, rolling his eyes. 

Michael stopped as soon as he realized who that girl was. He then said “ Wait, you’re that girl from the L/n family..” 

Y/n didn’t know how to respond, so instead she simply exhaled and brushed her shorts with her hands. “I am sorry. I think-.” She truly didn’t know what to say.

The boy with the bonnie mask spoke up, “You know that chick, Mike? She should know better than to come here. Especially when we are here.” Y/n got a bad feeling in her stomach hearing the words he just said.

“She’s my new neighbor.” Was Michael's only response. The boy with the Freddy mask started to speak, “So she’s your girlfriend?” Y/n became red from that sentence.

 “N-no!” Y/n blurted out. “What the hell?!?” She continued to speak. “ Never in a million years would I be HIS girlfriend! He is the last person on Earth that I would willingly date!” 

Michael seemed a little heartbroken but he didn’t show it. Y/n saw the look on Michael’s face and just stopped talking. Michael just looked away. 

The boy with the Chica mask began saying, “ Oooh dude that had to hurt a little. I mean unless she’s nothing to you.” Michael couldn’t answer the question. He just stood there and tried to speak but couldn’t. 

He just said something on the lines of “ I think we should just go..” All the boys he was with said “ What? Why? I thought you were the one who asked us.” Michael said “ I’m just not feeling it today alright?!” 

The boys looked at each other then back at Michael with confusion. Michael just started walking back. Before they could even notice though Y/n had already wandered off somewhere else.
