New beginnings {Michael Afton x reader}

Chapter 5. Alone Together.

Michael finally caught his breath and noticed Y/n was awake. “Oh. Uh, hi. ” Michael didn’t know what to say. A lot just happened and he still didn’t know how to react to the situation

Y/n swallowed hard. “Uh.. hi, what happened.” The two awkwardly stared at each other until Michael noticed Y/n blushing. “Why is your face so red?”

The girl covered her face with her hands. She was truly embarrassed. She turned her head in hopes of Michael not looking or wondering about why she is red.

It got really quiet again until Y/n felt something on her arm. She flinched at the feeling, but then realized that feeling was a hand, Michaels to be exact. 

He rested his hand against Y/n's arm, causing her adrenaline to rise through the roof. She started to shake slightly, and then she realized what happened. 

Y/n L/n was stuck in the middle of who knows where with Michael Afton. 

“Michael… Where are we?” Y/n was genuinely scared. Michael looked around for a minute, then sighed. “Honestly, I don’t know. But I am sorry..” He thought about what Y/n said earlier. The words she said to him rang through his mind. ‘Never in a million years would I be HIS girlfriend! He is the last person on Earth that I would willingly date!’ It hurt, truly.

“Mike-? MIKE!!” Y/n finally grabbed his attention. “Dude, you alright? You’ve been acting zoned out.” 

“Oh, uh yeah… I’m.. fine.” Michael leans up against a broken tree log. “The real question is, are you okay? What even happened to you?” The bleeding had stopped, but Y/n was sure to have scars of some sort. “Why should I tell you..? I can’t trust you. Honestly, you could be kidnapping me!” Y/n just wanted to go home at this point. She was alone with an Afton kid and lost at that matter.

Y/n tried to stand up. “Hey, what are you doing? You’re gonna hurt yourself!” Michael yelled. “I’m going home.” Y/n said while grabbing onto the tree she was sitting against to gain stability. “Well, looks like we’re going home together. You can stay at my place tonight if we make it back, and if you want to.” The teenage boy just wants to be nice to her since she could’ve died earlier. 

Y/n started to walk the direction she remembered coming from the little time she was awake. She stumbles a little by tripping over branches and stuff on the ground. Michael gets up from the ground and starts following her. “Y/n, what the hell are you doing? We should’ve just stayed there. I’d protect you if you ne-” Michael was cut off by Y/n. “Look, I don’t need your help. If I die, I die. Whatever happens just happens. I… Wait, that came off rude… Sorry..”
