Chapter 1

          I reached out, touching the cold wall in-front of me. A loud noise screeched throughout the room until I was sitting up in my bed at home. My alarm was blasting and there were shattered mirrors on the floor from the breakdown last night.I opened my phone and turned the alarm off so I could finally stop hearing the ringing. After staring at the wall, blankly for a couple of minutes I decided to get ready for the day. I'm guessing the wall was a dream? Whatever, it's not like I will remember it for long. After taking a shower I went back to my room to put on my "Uniform" that My mother fixes for me everyday. It was a long gray skirt, white collared shirt, a dusty red colored sweater and white socks. The only part of the uniform that I got to pick out were my shoes. The shoes were black and white sneakers. I hated my uniform, I wanted to dress how I wanted to. But my mother says that we have a reputation as "rich kids" for looking pretty. I went to do my hair then went downstairs, I didn't argue with my mother since I could never win. I learned it was better to do what she says. My mother and little sister were downstairs.

"Sasha! Your hair is a freaking knotty mess! Clean it up! And take off that stupid yellow raincoat, it doesn't go well with your uniform!" Our mother screamed at my little sister. My sister swatted our mother's hand away.

"My hair is just fine!" She argued. I wish I could talk back and gain confidence like her. I sat down next to Sasha as mother left for the kitchen. Sasha sighed, she then handed me some waffles.

"Thanks Six!" I smiled at her and she smiled back.

"Thanks for using my nickname, but don't do it in-front of mum she'd have a freak-out!" She explained to me and I nodded, as I started to eat. When I was done mother came back into the room and we got our backpack from the floor.

"Sasha! Aika! Come on! Start walking!" She yelled at us. I opened the front door.

"Bye Mum!" I yelled at her, she didn't respond.

I closed the door after my sister went out. We walked to school in silence between us. Once we got there Six hugged me.

"Alright bye sis I need to go find my friends!" She let go and waved.

"Alright, say hello to Rain, Morris and Simon for me!" I yelled after her, she gave me a thumbs up before running.

I giggled before going to the section of my grade, looking for my friend Will.

"Hey Will!" I waved at him, he looked at me and smiled.

"Hi Aika! I was just writing about Bigfoot, wanna see?" He asked, holding a blue book up.

"Yes Duh! Your stories are the best!" I answered, gently taking the book and reading the pages. I gave it back to him when I was done.

"Wow! That was a great story, good job, bud!" I smiled at him.

Will laughed, "Thanks Aika, you are too nice."

The bell rang for us to put our bags away and go around the hallways a few times. Me and Will walked side-by-side into the 10th grade hallway.
